Politics: McCain’s Camp Boots Black Reporter From Rally
August 8th, 2008Those responsible say that race absolutely had nothing to do with it.
Why was a Black reporter assigned to cover a McCain campaign rally in Panama City, Fla., singled out by security and told to leave? That’s what The Tallahassee Democrat, the newspaper that employs that reporter, wants to know. Executive Editor Bob Gabordi said, “I’m upset because my reporter was singled out for whatever reason. That bothers me. We’re just trying to figure out what that reason was.” Stephen Price was one of four Florida Capital Press Corps reporters on hand to cover the rally last week when a Secret Service agent approached and told him he had to leave. Price, the only Black journalist on hand, says he pointed out there were other reporters on his same beat in the area, but he was the one who got the boot. “The fact that I’m Black was the only obvious reason,” Price said. Jonathan Block, a McCain campaign worker, told Gabordi that “access to the senator is tightly controlled … I would first express regret that your reporter was moved, and I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that race had nothing to do with it…. At the end of the day, your reporter was in the wrong place. I do not know why the other reporters were not moved. The rest of the local press should have been moved as well.”
You know what every time read BET.com,Its all about race.It doesn’t take us 400 more years to notice some whites don’t want us around them look at the way they shoot us down.The only time they want us around is for talent.The white race is a whole nother race.If you know they are racist toward you don’t go to their events.Like they say we accept everyone but no one accepts us.We are the only race in this country that always try to integrate on what they are doing nobody else does that.Thats why I kinda believe people when they say separatuion is the key.Every other race is seperated just about.I f we are really Americans why are treted this way.That reporter I know is doing his job,but stop cying racism all the time.You these people really don’t like s deep down inside.Blacks and whites are ancient enemies!Read your history or go to a museum!

Man,every time I read Bet.com,its always about racism,arrests,gunfire.Talk about positve things mostly.If you ever watch a commercial whits always show themselves in a postitve way.I don’t care what it is,they don’t talk about race all the time or gunfire.If you know this race is consantly giving us problems seperate from them.I know he was dong is job.I have in Houston,TX, for 10 years and its the same way.Blacksk and white are ancient enemies from the Romans to the Moors,to Jesus.I mean everytime I read this page ts the same thing racism.Mexcans et did wrong b them also and they still have enough since not to integrate or date them mostly.I know not all whites are like that,but I have seen my fare sshare.No other race does us like that all the time.We always try to integrate with them and want to be with them,why don’t we try to be with other race.Read your history or go to a museum.

A black man or woman at a McCain rally?
McCain and his people wondered what he could possibly be up to, because blacks have no reason to be anywhere near his candidacy.
I wonder if this story has been on faux news?
i’m auploed by the way people react to how we have over come diversity and racesizam the way i see it is that we have to get out and over the past and look forward to the further i’m not saying that we can forget what had happen in the past but just know that things happen for a “reason ” we as people need to come understaned that
It´s clear . Mccain don´t want to be diag nosed by a black mind and don´t be watched like he really is through black eyes.
He hides himself and wants to sell an image of himself that has nothing to do with his real personality.
That´s why he tries to destroy Obama´s reputation, and of course he has no black advisors or a black voice in his ear when it´s about politics.
He fears blacks as he fears Obama.
He comes from an age where it was business as usual that blacks are excluded and marginalized.
Noone will love him in heaven, I really doubt that he will make it up to heaven, as I doubt that he make it up to the white house. And for sure he will end up in hell if he becomes president.
And remember : Old men slant to sacrifice the youth, and in his case of course non-whites too.

Obama is BIRACIAL!! He was raised by his WHITE grandmother, and has been ivy league educated. He is more ‘white’ than he is ‘black.’
You have no idea what the situation is with this. Just because it may seem like it was b/c of race, it doesn’t mean that it actually was. Oh, and if you’re going to talk about understanding (re: love me’s post), then you should learn how to write/spell.

Black is just not the outstanding color right now, and never has been. True colors will show, true feelings will come out. Don’t be discouraged, when one door closes another will open.
Everytime something doesn’t go thier way, they just change the laws to make it work. Even if there was segeragation still today, they would not be happy, they would always be trying to keep up with what we were doing..

justice: Many members of the Black community frequently accuse the cops of racial profiling, which is when they assume someone is doing something illegal just b/c he/she is a minority; however, why do you assume that this McCain situation has to do with race?? To all my black original people we all know what happend and whats really going on. We know why he was asked to leave! the way i feel about it is that he was asked to leave because he was a black man/reporter!

I hope no one can be dumb enough to believe that story. The reporter was removed because he was BLACK. The campaign worker stated that the reporter was in the wrong place. How ridiculous is that? Was he the only one in the wrong place?
Wake up America McCain is not out to help us BLACKS.
To Tim: who do you think owns BET now? They would be fools to show blacks in a positive light, doing so would encourage blacks to unite and look at themselves in a positive way.
