Politics: McCain’s Camp Boots Black Reporter From Rally
August 8th, 2008Those responsible say that race absolutely had nothing to do with it.
Why was a Black reporter assigned to cover a McCain campaign rally in Panama City, Fla., singled out by security and told to leave? That’s what The Tallahassee Democrat, the newspaper that employs that reporter, wants to know. Executive Editor Bob Gabordi said, “I’m upset because my reporter was singled out for whatever reason. That bothers me. We’re just trying to figure out what that reason was.” Stephen Price was one of four Florida Capital Press Corps reporters on hand to cover the rally last week when a Secret Service agent approached and told him he had to leave. Price, the only Black journalist on hand, says he pointed out there were other reporters on his same beat in the area, but he was the one who got the boot. “The fact that I’m Black was the only obvious reason,” Price said. Jonathan Block, a McCain campaign worker, told Gabordi that “access to the senator is tightly controlled … I would first express regret that your reporter was moved, and I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that race had nothing to do with it…. At the end of the day, your reporter was in the wrong place. I do not know why the other reporters were not moved. The rest of the local press should have been moved as well.”
So my friends when all those white reporters who follow our dear brother Barack Obama around.(Everywhere He Goes) Next time some of them show up to report on Obama, lets see what happens when a black Secret Service Agent approaches them and says you have to leave!
McCain is 71yrs old so that tell you what era was born and raised in. Everybody acts like racism does not exist. It does but it is no longer just whites against blacks. You have blacks against blacks and so forth. My point is this if you give it no food and water it can not grow. Most racist whites no longer do there disdain for blacks right out in the open. They let us bring ourselves down because we do it better then they could ever do it. We are one of the only race that bash ourselves and are not united. Once a black person almost get into some type of power there is another one trying to find something negative with the other. Just like UMlaw stated Obama is biracial okay so what. Why does that matter. When Bill Clinton was elected president all the black people said that is as close to a black president that we are going to get. Now that Obama stands a real chance in winning the presidency. We want to determine how black he is. Are you voting for what he stands for or are you voting for him just because he is black? If you have answered the latter you are not getting the concept of what is really going on.
How in the world could they say that “beyond a shadow of doubt it had nothing to do with race” when there was no other percievable difference between the reporters except race?
It is a racial thing.Block admitted he didn’t know why the other reporters weren’t moved as well. At the end of the day the “Black” reporter was not the only one standing in the wrong place, but he was the only one booted from the rally. Race played a major role in the black reporter being removed. There is no other explanation.

We do not know why he was excluded. None of us was there.

Why does everything have to be an issue of race? The reason why NO ONE is talking about this, he didn’t have the proper press credentials. That is either to blame on the reporter or his employer.

It sounds like seschris is a black person and from what I read above umlaw is an asian (why he’s on here arguing about race all the time I don’t get). My point is that if seschris don’t care about Obama being bi-racial then why does umlaw care so much that Obama is a black man??? It seems to me that tells us exactly who the racist is right there!!!

Clearly we neeed a change and not let another racist person go into the whitehouse to be over this country. McCain must have something to hide or he has mentioned bad things in his speeches about black people that his camp does not want to get out. He is not for black people never have been and never will be. It should be time for him to take a nap and draw social security like all old people do or trying to find a retirement community for hisself.

Just because i state opinions and facts about the negative members of the Black community and i show the biases of so many who blog on here, doesn’t make me a racist. I’m just calling out all of those who adamantly say that obama is a black man, when he is a biracial candidate that was raised by white relatives. Pride/voting bias is one thing, but facts are another. Seschris is one of those that is adamant that he is a black man so that she feels the pride, and also feels the right to vote for him. I’m a nut job??? What have i ever said that merits that? State specific things and argue them. Don’t just paint a convenient but incorrect picture. I’m much smarter than you can ever imagine my man. The information in quotations below came directly from Senator Obama’s website and can be verified in any legitimate writing on the senator. The last line of the statement on his personal biography indicates that he is indeed black man. For those who are confused about this take heed, he clearly is an African American (a black man) not a WHITE man. He and his wife’s attendance and graduation from Ivy League schools in no way make them WHITE (as indicated by some misinformed individual above). It only makes them well educated black people.
