Politics: Party Rrivals Disagree Over New Yorker Obama Cover

Democrats and Republicans definitely don’t see eye to eye when it comes to the New Yorker magazine cover featuring caricatures of Barack and Michelle Obama. But is that really a surprise? According to The Associated Press, nearly two in three Democrats found the cover, which showed Obama wearing a turban and other traditional Muslim clothes, and his wife, Michelle, wearing camouflage, to be down right wrong. However, about the same percentage of Republicans said they had no problem with the cover. Obama’s campaign has called the illustration “tasteless and offensive.”
Well of course the Republicans aren’t going to have a problem with it, they’re for McCain!!!

I’m not saying anything bad about Obama, but before lthe ast couple of years how many of you knew of him, if he’s so great? Or has recent media swayed you emotions again… Again I’m not saying anything bad about Obama. I just think WE should think pass what we feel, and Demand What’s really going on. Republicans out to get Democrats, All Republicans are for McCain, Obama is the God Sent but most of america only heard of him after 2006… LOL!! Please!!… The easiest way to have someone else believe you, is to appeal to their emotions. Childsplay! I know it’s boring but do your own RESEARCH! Some things don’t add up and you can never look at one side and see the whole picure. If you don’t stand for something you best believe you are falling for everything… Again nothing against Obama and the images are alittle crude, but they have the right to say what they like right. Everyone isn’t going to like him. Sounds like another emotional ploy to get you to feel a certain way. THINK PASSED IT!

Are these numbers surprising anyone? Shouldn’t be. Of course White Republicans wouldn’t see anything wrong with the magazine cover. I’m sure most are saving them in the special collection drawers and will pass them down to their closed-minded children and grandchildren. So sad. The cover was a blatant display of the ignorant state of anti-Obama people out there. How could this magazine, which should be unbiased, print something so offensive? But, hey, it’s cool, because in November when the smoke clears, we shall see who will be the last one standing. Obama ‘08!
