February 21st, 2009President has confidence of 2 out of 3 Americans. Two-thirds of the nation supports the leadership of President Barack Obama, if a CNN poll is correct. Released on Friday, the survey’s results also show that six out of 10 people support the economic stimulus proposal Obama signed into law this week. The first Black president’s approval rating of 67 percent is down 9 points from the last CNN survey weeks ago. “Since nearly all of the decline came from among Republicans, this doesn’t indicate that the honeymoon is already over,” says CNN spokesman Keating Holland. “Among Democrats, Obama’s approval went from 96 percent to 92 percent; among Republicans, it dropped from 50 percent in early February to 31 percent now.”
Kym Worthy keeps pressure on Kilpatrick. Don’t send out the Dallas welcome wagon for Kwame Kilpatrick just yet: The former Detroit mayor who just got out of jail has a tenacious opponent in Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy. Worthy, who helped put Kilpatrick behind bars for corruption last year, asked a judge not to let Kilpatrick leave Michigan for job training, as Kilpatrick requests. They’ll appear in court next week when a court decides if the ex-mayor can go on with his plan to re-locate to Dallas and take a six-figure sales gig there. Worthy argues that Kilpatrick deceived the court when he said traveling to Texas was necessary for his job interview. She also says that the $3,000 monthly rent Kilpatrick reportedly plans to pay for his new home should go toward the $1 million restitution he agreed to give the Detroit finance department.

Enough is enough!! She really need to leave Kilpatrick alone..now it seems to me that she’s getting personal!! Maybe she’s pissed because he didn’t give her the time of day. Who knows. The man served his time and now he wants to go along with his life!
Kim, sweetie….it is over and done with…..the man served his time…..letl him get his life back…….what he did is wrong….but please women and men are going to be just that….women and men……yes, he lied…..yes, he cheated on his wife….and yes, he went to prison…but his wife did not leave him, he did his time and the mistress has gone on about her business. Kim, leave the man alone. If Dallas wants to hire him….so be it…..

We all have made bad choices in life I’m quite sure you have also. We want Kwame to go to Texas…..Kwame is just a big lier. But it don’t make it right……
President Obama is doing a wonderful job so let him be…..He really have our best interested….Don’t let those people on CNN get to u…..
Comment- yes Kwame served his time but Detroit pays the price. With high unemployment and other ills the city is going through (it is one of the largest cities and the poorest in the nation) if he owes restitution, PAY UP!!!
He put the city in worse woes than before he came. He has to take the job in TX to pay the restitution but get a federal judgement if possible and maybe a % of garnishment on his new salary until the restitution is paid up!
I agree with Tiabooba that even though Kilpatrick has served his time in jail, his legal obligationis not finished. He still has to pay that money back
Please leave Kilpatrick and his family alone, how is he suppose to move forward and pay back the money he owes? if Kim Worthy keep trying to keep her foot on his neck , let up lady get a life I am sure there are far important things in Detroit that you could be doing with your time, then worrying about Kilpatrick. I don’t blame him for moving the opportunity came and he took it. I wouldn’t want to stay in Detroit either under his circumstances, he probably would end up in more trouble one way or another because everyone know him and the situation. My prayers are with Kilpatrick Lord knows will all have made mistakes and no one is perfect. I do not live in Detroit I live in Illinois.
