President Bush Welcomes Obamas to the White House

President Bush welcomes the Obamas to the White House. President Bush on Wednesday hailed the election of Barack Obama as the next U.S. president as “a triumph of the American story” and acknowledged the significance of Obama’s rise to become the nation’s first Black president. He said watching Obama walk through the doors of the White House “will be a stirring sight” but welcomed the first couple to visit prior to Obama’s January inauguration. Obama’s election is “a testament to hard work, optimism and a faith in the enduring promise of our nation,” Bush said in a White House Rose Garden briefing on Wednesday. “No matter how they cast their ballots, all Americans can be proud of the history that was made yesterday.” Bush’s second term in the Oval Office will end when Obama is sworn in on Jan. 20.
I know a mixed race person has never occupied the whitehouse, but please people lets behave like we’ve at least seen success before. C’mon baby act like you’ve been here before. Some of you guys are showing lower class than McCain. Bush extends congrats and all you can do is second guess his motives.. you are childish and Obama expects better of us.

Im so glad to see a man from the black race becoming our new president of the U.S.A.I hope…….Iknow that he will make us all proud.This is a sneek-peek of history and a showing that any one can do any thing if they work hard and put there mind to it.I can’t wait to see him running the nation.

This election is a great accomplishment for us all, and for Blacks in general. I say this because this makes us feel equal and alive. This makes us feel appreciated for the labor and that we have contributed to this nation. This is a dedication to everyone who is not here to see this greatness of equal change. So many fought and gave there life’s just to be treated equal.
We did it!! Yes we did!! Im so proud of us as a culture to come together and elect one of our own into office. I was elated to go to the poll to see a long line, wrapped around the corner. Our fight isnt over, in fact we are just beginning. We must continue to support his decisions. Continue to pray for Obama and his family and continue to come together to lift each other up.

I am a white guy who proudly voted for Barack Obama, and was amazed at how all races came together to get this guy into office. Blacks, especially, voted like never before. I wanted to say this for the future though, the black community has GOT to keep this turnout going for the better candidate. Even if it is the lesser of 2 evils, as long as we keep the Neo-Cons, from frankly screwing us ALL over (granted, some more than others as it has been for centuries).
To truly say that we are transcending race in politics, non-white races have to come together and show this type of support for the BEST candidate, no matter what their race, in the future. Not to sour the moment, but what if the black and hispanic communities had shown this type of support in 2000. We might have had Al Gore passing the presidency on to Obama, and he certainly would have, at least, gotten us more energy independent and possibly developed bio-fuel options for us by now. In other words we need to KEEP this going together, so we can keep future GWs out of the office, even if the other guy is no Barack.
PRAISE GOD!!!! That’s about all I can say….Hallelujah!!!
YEA!!! Im so happy. OBAMA is Da Man! I just hope he helps those that need him the most. Sorry McCain and Pallin but you 2 looooose.

thank god for the first black president. America needs change and I think Obama is the man for the job. Obama just hold your head high and be the best leader you can be. Congratulations to Obama and his family, thanks to the Bush family for passing the baton so we can move on up this mountian that needs everyones particapation. Thank you to the Mccain family and team of Rep: that conceded and did not let the baton fall to the ground. Now lets get down to the tough road ahead!!! Calling ALL prayer warriors to their secret positions of prayer. Get your armour polished up and never be caught with out it. Stay mindfull of Romans 13 (Holy word) Learn something, anything, that you have never learned before. Always check in at your favorite news source for information, FYI updates. Stay focused, stay informed. Then last but by no means least!!! Thank you Almighty God for letting us know that your in complete controll over the affairs of mankind, thank you for showing that you have an eye on things that sometimes we think your not aware of or you don’t care about. Thank you for that cry that was heard in the wilderness, and because you are a man that sends forth his word and it does not return void, you Blessed Men and Women in a very personal, special, and of course Loving manor, Thank you and please continue to be merciful to us. Its hard to be hated and it is easy to stay in the flesh when we have to endure the cancerous hate fighting that exsit in the world today. Neverthe less, continue to reveal the challenges you would like us as your people to work towards, to ever be mindful of. To know that the Glory is only and truly you. Be Blessed as you receive our praise and adoration as we continue to learn how you do what you do that no one else could do.
