President Obama’s Weekly Address
June 8th, 2009As Congress gets set to debate the future of health care in America, President Obama used his weekly address to underscore why he believes it is “urgent” that Americans support fundamentally changing the way people receive and pay for medical treatment. He says he welcomes debate about the issue, but the out-of-control costs for medical care, President Obama stressed, need to be addressed immediately. His push comes at a time when a number of the President’s programs – including the Stimulus package – are under increased attack from Conservatives. But he is not blinking, determined to make new health care legislation one of the accomplishments of his presidency. It’ll be interesting to see how the debate plays out in Congress and in homes and workplaces around the country. It is clear that there is a growing consensus among Americans regarding the President’s call to change health care. Exactly what that change will look like is what will be most exciting to watch as supporters and opponents duke it out. Most likely, after much debate, both sides will compromise on something that is radically different from what we have now and, hopefully, even more rational and impactful than what the President is currently putting forth.

HEY I SO DISAPPOINTED WITH TEXAS SYSTEM THIS PAST WEEK MY POWER WENT OUT AND MY CHILD WHO’S 5 MONTHS OLD AND A FIVE YEAR OLD WAS IN A HOT HOUSE CAUSE TXU TOOK THEIR TIME.

AND JOBS ARE SO HARD TO FIND THAT YOU GOT TO TRAVEL OUT OF CITY WHERE YOU STAY TO FINE A GOOD JOBS. AND THE WAY GAS PRICES IS. WE WANT BE ABLE TO GET TO WORK EVERYDAY CAUDE IT ANIT NO JOBS HERE IN DUBLIN, IF YOU WAN A JOB YOU GONE ATLEAST TRAVEL 30 TO 45 MILE TO FINE A JOB. A few years back I was in Federal Prison for a probation Violation and While locked up in Isolation I was in there with a white american who was locked for ripping off the health care system. At the time i didnt think of the seiousness of what he did until my grandmother died for not having the proper coverage or health care plan to pay for her needs. Although most young people dont think about health care we should think and plan for a better future.
