Rapper DMX Pleads Guilty

Rapper DMX, shackled and garbed in true jailbird attire in an Arizona courtroom Tuesday, pleaded guilty to animal cruelty, theft and drug possession. The 38-year-old rapper (whose real name is Earl Simmons) sat quietly in his Black-and-white-striped prison uniform as the official charges were read into the record: one misdemeanor count of animal cruelty, one felony count of theft, and one count each of felony possession of marijuana and a narcotic drug. If the case had gone to trial and Simmons had been convicted, he would now be looking at a possible 10-year sentence. Under Tuesday’s plea deal, he is expected to get the minimum 90-day jail sentence, plus probation. The agreement precludes him from owning any animals and possessing any weapons; in addition, he is required to attend an animal-offender treatment program. Violating probation could have him looking again at those 10 years. DMX’s albums include “It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot” and “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood” and “Year of the Dog … Again.”

i can not understand these brothers who prone for trouble. during the civil rights era and jim crow days, brothers complain about white man keeping you down. now it seems those with opportunties far reaching then i can imagine owning, keeps themselves down. could mychel bell of Jena 6 and others look up to this guy. he is one that let the community down, because some kids looks up to him regardless if he ask to be a role model or not.
DMX is backed up and needs to be cleaned out!!!!!!

Some have noted that more black men are in prison in America than are in

DMX needs to go somewhere and sit down. Sometimes, you have to chill in order to get things back in perspective.

i feel that every body deserve a chance how ever animal should not be abused they should be loved just like human what he should do is go work in a animal shelter
This asshoIe is an bad example to the black community. In my country he would be scolded. We would never have anymore problems from DMX.
We all have free will ,each and every person on the earth.Why are we persecuting this brother for making mistakes, had that been anyone of us we would`nt have heard the story.This brother is in the media`s sights and his mistakes are treated as sins.Now when this blows over and he does it again, then it`s time to persecute.Until then stop casting stones…….Uhuru `09
