Rappers Create Sean Bell Track for Charity

talibkweliSuperstar rappers show Sean Bell some love on a new track
Weeks after three New York cops were acquitted of shooting Sean Bell to death on his wedding day, members of the hip-hop community are getting together to show that brotha some love. Producer/rapper Swizz Beatz, Talib Kweli, Cassidy, Drag-On, Maino and Styles P. recorded a track titled “Stand Up (A Sean Bell Tribute).” All proceeds from the the song, which is available on iTunes for .99, will go to the Sean Bell Benefit Fund. Bell died in November 2006, in a 50-bullet barrage on the morning before his wedding.

What these rappers are doing is very commendable,and my heart goes out to the Bell family,but it’s a shame that the criminal justice system is STILL not fair to african-americans.
