Republican Elected Official Defends Obama “Magic Negro” Song
December 27th, 2008
A candidate for the Republican National Committee’s chair spot says a song he placed on a CD was meant as humor, not racism against President-elect Barack Obama. Tennessee’s Chip Saltsman claims that he borrowed “Barack the Magic Negro” – based on the children’s song “Puff the Magic Dragon” – from a segment of the Rush Limbaugh show. “I think most people recognize political satire when they see it,” Saltsman tells CNN. He sent the CD to fellow Republicans; it included other songs poking fun at Obama’s former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and 2008 presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards. Obama hasn’t commented about news of the CD.

it would be better for black americans to hit the sensitivity button and switch it off for the next four yrs. obama will be made fun off, he will be pilloried and he will be mocked… its part of the job, his skin colour will be used against him, he african roots have already been used against him , afterall who called him an “african spear chucker”?. clue..it was not a white american.it was a black one..! what is important is that the americans have finally rejected the bush way and followed a new way….roll on jan.2009 lets get serious!!lol
What a silly cracka for making such a song!
How in the heck did he think that was funny? Are you serious? I just shows how racist people really are. That is just plain stupid! The rest of them are just as guilty for going on with it!
Here is a guy who was obviously raised with a sense that his ‘whiteness’ was equivalent to ‘rightness!’ As an Asian-American immigrant I want to remind such people that some of us who are equally (if not more) well-educated as such Bozos as he, and as well-off, will not stand for such foul-mouthed (regardless of their stated intentions?!!) vile rhetoric.
We should not stand idly by and let these things happen, regardless of the fact that Pres-Elect Obama will be the target of vile attacks. Did not see Bush being villified because of his color (even though that may have been a contributor to his thinking that he could not be wrong).
HEY THAT MAGIC WORKED !! .BUT I WILL CHANGE..’ THE WORD MAGIC”..TO..” BLESSED”..THIS TIME I AGREE WITH..”OLOUNWA”..(THIS MEANS OLD TIRED WOMB IN ENGLISH)..AND..” LASHANWADUH”.
This is one of the reason why true Republicans is running away from their own party…lol. From the words of MY President…..ENOUGH!

Ok, grow up guys. Not everything making fun of a black person is racist. It is a song based on a quote from a BLACK journalist and many comments made by Al Sharpton. The black journalist mentioned is the one that coined the phrase Barack the Magic Negro. If you actually listened to it, it is much harder on Sharpton than it is on Barack. It is almost mocking that someone would come up with the term in the first place.
Every one wonders why the rest of the world hates us. It is obvious if he is this stupid publicly, what is he doing that we don’t know about? as a fact what is the Government going to do next to shame the American Public !!
WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER. QUIT CRYING. IF YOU DISH IT OUT THEN TAKE IT. GEORGE BUSH,SARAH PALIN ETC.ETC. THERE IS PLENTY TO CLOWN OBAMA ABOUT SO DEAL WITH IT.
WAH WAH WAH
if that had been a song againgt whites then somebody would have a problem with it
ELVINA, DID YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE WAY SARAH PALIN AND HER FAMILY HAVE BEEN TREATED. OF COURSE YOU DIDN’T. COULD IT BE BECAUSE SHE’S WHITE ,OF COURSE IT IS. WHO IS THE RACIST NOW
this is the reason the average black person dont trust white people. this guy is a red neck!
