Rick Ross finally comes clean.
Miami MC Rick Ross is admitting what anyone who’s not blind has known for months: He’s the chubby, clean-cut guy dressed as a prison guard in widely circulated Web photos. Ross repeatedly had denied his corrections-officer past, despite numerous documents including a job application with his legal name that were published on the Smoking Gun Web site. Apparently, the rapper, who borrows his stage name from notorious Los Angeles cocaine dealer “Freeway” Ricky Ross, thought that acknowledging his old gig would cost him street cred. “Yes, it’s me,” Ross tells Don Diva magazine of the photographs. “…I done been up and I done been down, and that’s what makes me what I am. I never ratted on a n*gga. I never prosecuted a n*gga. I never locked up a n*gga. That’s first and foremost. …When I say that I’m rich off cocaine, it’s because I did it.” But he never “locked up” a person? Isn’t that what COs do?
What’s the big deal. It’s just a job. Now for me how can you trust a person that would lie about something that small. One thing you can’t trust is a liar.
what has this world come to when a person prefers to be a drug dealer instead of a working and honest job?!?!?!?

I don’t see why this caused a big deal to some people! I don’t see why he just couldn’t say that it was him before. Unless he was serving the inmates. Then I could understand why he did’t want people to know. I think that nothing wrong with having a respectable job for once in your life. Not saying I don’t respect what he’s doing now cause I am a fan, and I wont stop being one. Just keep bring us those hits. Ricky Ross tha Boss!!!!! lol
No the CO does not lock anyone up, that’s what the judge does. The CO only watch them while they are on lock-down. A job is a job, the man had to eat!!!!
This is what’s wrong with our community now. We think just because a person raps about a certain “thug” life he needs to have lived it. And this street cred BS needs to stop. That’s exactly why our kids are out of control today because of this pressure to have a name and rep on the streets. Ice Cube proclaimed a long time ago that he was from a middle-class neighborhood so do we throw all of his CD’s away? Let’s just be happy that Rick Ross was at least trying to make an “honest” living and congratulate him for that.
