Retired Oakland Raiders star disses Davis.

Coming off a memorable Matrix-inspired performance on TV’s “Dancing With the Stars,” retired Raider Warren Sapp shows that he’s not only nimble on his feet, but with his tongue. The ex-quarterback threat tells Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” that he warns current players who contact him not to “go anywhere near Oakland.” Team owner Al Davis is the problem, Sapp says. “(Davis) is the common equation,” he adds. “You take him out, put him at home watching film or whatever he is doing, you have a functioning football organization. But once he comes over the top, he goes and starts moving it around.” Sapp says the owner’s style is dated, adding: “Al Davis knows football. It’s just ‘60s and ‘70s football. That’s what it is. He’s thinking that Cliff Branch is outside and Plunkett is dropping back, and you can throw it 80 yards down the field – deep ball, deep ball, deep ball.” Sarcasm, where art thou?Detroit Shock seek repeat of title feat. Hoping to reclaim the championship they captured in 2006, the Detroit Shock meet the San Antonio Silver Stars in Texas tonight for game two in the best-of-five finals series. The Shock defeated San Antonio at home in game one on Wednesday, 77-69. Detroit is coming off of a season that included numerous player suspensions after the biggest brawl in WNBA history, a clash versus the Los Angeles Sparks. The Stars’ Wednesday loss was its first to an Eastern Conference team this season.
