Sports: Shaq Disses Ex-teammate Hard In ‘Freestyle’ At NYC Club; Williams Advances At Wimbledon; Pelé Loses His Necklace, Watch To Armed Thugs

Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O’Neal denies any ill will toward his ex-L.A. teammate after video surfaced of Shaq spitting a volley of disses at Kobe Bryant in a live rap. “Check it,” O’Neal began rhyming at a New York club, “You know how I be/Last week, Kobe couldn’t do without me.” The audience cheered Shaq on in his references to Bryant’s first championship loss since O’Neal’s trade from the Lakers. But it got more personal as O’Neal continued, “I’m a horse/Kobe ratted me out, that’s why I’m gettin’ divorced” – apparently referring to Bryant’s statements to police about O’Neal’s alleged affairs when Bryant was accused of a Colorado rape. Shaq also chanted – and later led the crowd in repeating – “Kobe, tell me how my a** tastes.” And he threw in a few much less entertaining rhymes about the late Notorious B.I.G., Diddy, and bla bla bla. “I was free-styling, that’s all,” O’Neal tells ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. “It was all done in fun, nothing serious whatsoever. …I’m totally cool with Kobe. …Please tell everybody don’t make something out of nothing.” That request may be a tad bit late.
Williams advances at Wimbledon
Tennis star Serena Williams has defeated Estonian competitor Kaia Kanepi to advance to Wimbledon’s round two. Williams is a two-time titlist at the tournament, where she’s a sixth seed this year. She was bounced from the competition by retired Belgian star Justine Henin in 2007. Williams’ older sister Venus, the reigning champ, competes at Wimbledon today.
Pelé loses his necklace, watch to armed thugs
The man who was declared a national treasure in Brazil, and who’s regarded by many as the greatest soccer player ever, is recovering from an armed robbery. Retired star Pelé, who was voted “Athlete of the Century” by Olympic committees in 1999, was accosted this month. He was the passenger in a car that was traveling through a slum near Santos, Brazil when the vehicle was stopped by at least 10 men carrying guns and knives, authorities say. Pelé was robbed of a gold necklace, cell phone and watch. He was unharmed in the June 13 incident that wasn’t made public until Monday. At 67, Pelé has been a member of multiple World Cup-winning teams and reigns as the top-scoring pro soccer player with 1281 goals. He dedicated his 1,000th to the poor children of Brazil.

Shaq needs to sit his A$$ down somewhere…Kobe did good this season and he doesn’t need Shaq. How can he say anything about an NBA great Patrick Ewing because he doesn’t have a ring? What Shaq doesn’t realize that it takes a team to make it.
shaq is right when he tryed to tell kobe to play as a team that’s why boston won. you can see kobe is still trying to win games by his self mvp my ass and a snitch. boston will win it again next year.

Please Kobe played is but off, he tried to invole his team mates but they were able to step up to the plate. So yeah he had to take a few extra shots to keep his team in the game. I don’t remember seeing the Pheonix Suns play in the finals. Kobe may not have won those three rings without you, but neither would have you. He picked up were you slacked off. Stop It!
