Shock’s quest for WNBA championship is in jeopardy after player’s injury.
News that Cheryl Ford, daughter of NBA great Karl Malone, will miss the rest of the WNBA’s regular season, has Detroit Shock fans concerned about the team’s 2007 goals. Ford suffered a left knee femoral chondral defect in Indiana July 20. The Shock were widely expected to repeat as WNBA champions.
