‘Stay And Die,’ Weather Officials Warn As Monster Ike Nears Texas
September 12th, 2008They fear that stubborn squatters could face the same fate as Katrina victims.
“Stay and die” is the warning from weather officials who say that Hurricane Ike, which is steaming toward the Texas Gulf Coast, could be a deadly monster as sinister as his evil cousin, Katrina. “All neighborhoods … and possibly entire coastal communities … will be inundated during the period of peak storm tide,” the advisory from the National Weather Service said. I’m in Houston!! It hasnt even rain yet and Galveston is a flooded mess. theres that family that lives on a boat and refuses to live so I am gonna pray for them today! they say its gonna be an 18 foot surge! :- {
I hope everyone else is safe! Take care my Houston people!!!!
Please be safe. May God be with you and your family. For those that have children, please think of your children and their safety and Get outta there and try to stay calm. Best wishes!
please be safe and leave before the storm hits get some where were you know you’re safe please thats all i ask and i wish you guys the best of luck and i will keep u in my prayers.
It is amazing, how Gas Company heads can sleep at night. Citizens are ordered to get out of the city or Die and gas companies raise gas prices, leaving the poorest people stuck in the city. Yes I understand that there are buses that are assisting with the evacuation, but people should not have to choose between leaving everything behind when they have the means of transportation to get out—but gas is too high so they have to pay the wages of losing everything—home, clothing, lively hood, and their transportation—all because they cant afford to put gas in their car due to gas price increases. I have family in the Houston area and I am praying for their safety. The government should be ashamed of themselves– they say that the gas companies will be fined, but I think that they should have Federal charges brought, because HUMAN LIFE SHOULD BE MORE VALUABLE THAN THE DOLLAR!!! Good Luck Houston and surrounding areas, ya’ll have my prayers
sorry;but thats Gods way of telling us 2 get it right or else face His right hand.but my thoughts and prayers is on you.p.s was;nt that place were the storm is headed is the same place them boys drag that Brother.you reap what you sow.
Not living in a Hurricane prone area I can’t imagine how many false alarms residents go through each “Hurricane Season”, but you have to follow common sense. If you get alerted to how dangerous it might be and refuse to listen to the warning you’re taking a chance on claiming your spot in the “upper room” before your time. Why take a chance with your life and others? You know that by only the grace of God that you live you’re putting others in danger that have to rescue or help you. For those that stay…May God be with you….

Okay people. U know we have those people who “shall not be moved like a tree” so i agree with the weatherman who made the comment of leave or die. I mean i’m a God fearing woman but you are absolutely right God gives us common since. When Katrina hit us (im in Mississippi, Biloxi) i had a homegrl that said tat she wasn’t going anywhere. she was safe and they didn’t know what happened. WEll….last i talked to her as 08/27/2005—- and she was expecting. Just found out last year one of the unidentified was her. yep sad story but true. So, if you make the decision to stay then live with what happen. Don’t expect FEMA, National Guard, NOBODY to be in a rush to rescue you cause u had your chance. Just as God gives us chance….you have it. TAKE IT!!! GET OUT! and if you stay…only God can keep you. my prayers are with you. oh yeah..the hurricane not even hitting us and we got flooded….i have the bags packed if Ike acts funny in anyway…God Bless
Im from the northside of houston and were getting alittle bit of wind right now thats all. but all the stores are now closed and gas stations up their price and still ran out. Some peps already had to get rescued in galveston. The crazy thing is theirs a lot of fools staying when told to leave.
She’s so pretty. I love her smile very much. A few days ago, I saw her at a famous WEALTHY&SEXY dating site http://BillionaireRomance.com , she posted a nice profile there. Seems she is looking for a nice guy for serious relationships.
I can’t believe how many Texans are actually riding it out. Last time I heard, MOST people in Houston AND Galveston are staying. And it’s not because they couldn’t pay for the hiked gas prices, it’s because they are crazy! When someone says that the Hurricane is huge (taking up 40% of the Gulf Coast), could be worst than Katrina (which killed over 1,000 people in Louisiana alone) and that you will be facing CERTAIN death…LEAVE! It’s not a joke, it’s deadly and serious!
This is not how the freeways here looked on Thursday or Friday, this is obviously some picture that was taken when Rita hit. There is no traffic here and has not been! The people have left Gavleston, Kemah and other locations near the Gulf. People in Houston are not Crazy nor are we STUPID. Houston is a very large city and has cities that surround the Houston area that will not be affected by the Hurricane in the manner that the people on the Gulf will. Please stop making your assumptions as to what we are facing here. As we all know ASSuming does for the people that is ASSuming! Obviously some of you have never been to Houston and have no idea what it is like here! All there is, is a lot of wind in North West Houston.
yes people try to be save n gas prices is high in miami 5five dollar a gallon of gas in my city we need help down here,be save people.
May God be with us ALL!
This is just the beginning of things to come! We have been warned for many years!
Read your BIBLE! The PROPHECIES are coming to past!
Get your life right with GOD! He is SO unhappy with MOST of us!
We need to come together and pray as a whole!
Love one another! “UNITY is the key… Prayer is the answer!”
One LOVE!
Yea, I kinda agree with H-Town. Bekause me && some other ppo were on 45 koming from Prairie View thursday and there wasn’t that much traffik [[at all]]. It was only a little bit and that was in Corsicana…MiLES away from Houston.
Signs of the end of the age.
