Attorney Gen. Eric Holder Returns to Caribbean Roots
Attorney General Eric Holder made a visit to Barbados this Memorial day weekend. But it wasn’t just a few days of fun in the sun that brought Holder to the Caribbean island. Holder met Saturday with attorneys general from several Caribbean nations. “They are talking about U.S.-Caribbean cooperation on narco-trafficking, crime, gangs and judicial law enforcement technical assistance,” Justice Department spokesman Matt Miller told The Miami Herald. Holder, whose father was born in Barbados, will also be honored by the nation. The government is set to rename the Tamarind Hall Municipal Complex “The Eric Holder Centre.” In addition, the Barbados Parliament held a reception in Holder’s honor following Saturday’s meeting.

Actor says he expected to appear in “Iron Man” sequel.
Actor Terrence Howard says he read in the media – just like you did – that he wouldn’t appear in the sequel to this year’s film Iron Man. Howard was replaced by Traitor and Hotel Rwanda star Don Cheadle after a reported financial disagreement. The Oscar nominee plays Jimmy Rhodes in the original movie, a character set to appear in the 2010 follow-up. Howard called his replacement “the surprise of a lifetime,” adding: “I read something in the trades (implying) that it was about money or something, but apparently, the contracts that we write and sign aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on sometimes.”

Winehouse claims that film execs instead chose “clean-cut and boring” talent. Apparently taking no offense, Keys says: “I would’ve loved for her to do it. It would have been awesome. All three of us should do it.”Playboy Radio is sued by a Black producer. A producer for the Playboy Radio show “Night Calls” claims the sexy broadcast got a little too sexy to remain professional.
