Jason Richardson

Jason Richardson charged with driving 90 mph. The Phoenix Suns have suspended a player after his second high-profile traffic incident in fewer than four months. Jason Richardson will also face a judge after he was pulled over in Arizona this past weekend for allegedly driving 55 miles per hour over the speed limit. He reportedly had his 3-year-old son unrestrained in the back seat. Richardson admitted to speeding, according to cops, but he also had no car seat for his child. He was released from custody after being booked in Scottsdale and charged with reckless driving, endangerment, failure to use a child seat and excessive speeding. November 26th, 2008

Forest Park High School

Five students are charged with attacking a teacher. Five students were arrested and charged Tuesday with attacking two teachers at Forest Park High School in Baltimore, school officials told The Baltimore Sun. The attack was apparent retaliation against one of the teachers, who alleged he was the victim of an unarmed robbery by two other students at the school the day before. City police came to the school on Tuesday to arrest those two students. Then, later that morning, the brother of one of the robbery suspects attacked the teacher, and other students joined in, school sources said. Another teacher tried to come to his colleague’s rescue, and took the brunt of the beating. City police were called to assist school police. City school system spokeswoman Edie House told the Sun that no one was hospitalized or seriously injured. The five students were charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

Suge Knight Charged With Drug Possession

November 18th, 2008

Suge Knight

Suge Knight charged with drug possession. The alleged victim may have gone away, but charges against Suge Knight, who allegedly jumped his girlfriend, haven’t. A Las Vegas DA says the former head of Death Row Records will face drug possession charges after he was arrested in a public confrontation with his girlfriend several weeks ago. Knight was allegedly seen kicking the nude woman on a Vegas street after she’d reportedly escaped from the car Knight was driving. The pair had argued about Knight’s talking with another woman, it’s reported, before he allegedly hit the woman and she forced the car off the road, then ran for help. Cops said Knight was attacking the woman when they arrived at the scene and that he had the drugs ecstasy and hydrocodone in his possession. The woman has reportedly gone missing from her last known address and can’t be found by investigators. Drug charges were delayed until the substances in Knight’s possession could be tested, the DA says.
