The radio personality who interviewed Beanie Sigel hours after he released his controversial “diss” record aimed at Jay-Z has been fired.
Charlamagne tha God, the morning show host of 100.3FM The Beat in Philadelphia has been relieved of his duties, according to an announcement Charlemagne made on his Twitter on Monday.
“Don’t believe the hype. This is not a publicity stunt. They fired me this(Monday) morning,” Charlamagne tweeted.
Many Hip-Hop insiders believe the firing was a direct result of Charlamagne giving Beanie Sigel an audience to discuss his Jay-Z diss record “Average Cats.”
Charlamagne said the firing is just “the nature of the business.“

One of Jay-Z’s former Roc-A-Fella artists lets loose on his feelings about the demise of a musical dynasty.
Beanie Sigel (Dwight Grant) released “Average Cats” early Friday morning (Oct 30) in which he accuses Jay-Z of calling the police on him during the premier concert of Blueprint 3.
He also accuses Jay-Z of keeping him tied to the label when Sigel had an opportunity to go elsewhere.

According to Sigel, Jay offered him a financial incentive to remain on the struggling label’s roster. “I told you I ain’t want your money,” he said addressing Jay-Z directly.
“But you was in a position to let me get my own money, and you couldn’t do that,” Sigel claimed.
Whatever issues remain between the two artists, who have always appeared to be very close, Sigel has made it clear that they can be resolved.
The diss record was released hours after Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed at Yankee Stadium.
Jay-Z has yet to respond.

The song has been adopted by the New York Yankees who will play defending World Series champions, the Philadelphia Phillies in the best four out of seven series.

I wonder if Will Smith will perform when the series goes to Philadelphia??????

Rapper “hit the roof” over Rihanna assault. The musical mentor to singer Rihanna has called singer Chris Brown “a walking dead man,” according to US Weekly. “He messed with the wrong crew,” Jay-Z is reported to have said after word on Brown’s alleged violence against Rihanna this week. If a Facebook entry is authentic, Brown may have added fuel to the fire: Brown’s Facebook quote read, “You’ll begin to see her true colors. Believe it!” But questions were raised Friday about whether Brown actually wrote the words. California authorities may charge the star, who turned himself in, with one or more felonies after Rihanna was reportedly given “horrific” injuries to her face on Sunday. Jay-Z discovered the sexy 20-year-old award-winner when she was a teenager. Actor Terrence Howard apologized after telling Hollywood TV that Rihanna knows Brown “loves her.” “When they asked me about Chris Brown the other day,” read a statement from Howard, “I was in no way aware of what he had been accused of. Had I known, I would have never said something so insensitive.”

A soon-to-be-released documentary could shed light on what was the beginning of the end of a hip hop dynasty. Filmmaker Choke No Choke tells Hip Hop Weekly that his movie about the rise and fall of Roc-A-Fella records, co-founded by Jay-Z and Damon Dash, will raise eyebrows: “Both Jay and Dame was involved with a certain R&B singer, who I’m not gonna say her name out of respect ’cause she ain’t around to defend herself, but I believe that was a part of the initial friction. I was seeing Jay with her back around 2000, then Dame was with her after. All you have to do is look at the movie they did, Death of a Dynasty. In the movie they were fighting over a model. In real life, she was a model, but singing is what she was known for first.” Photos have surfaced on the Web, showing the late singer Aaliyah in poses with both Jay and Dame. The singer’s body language suggests that she’s comfortable with a shirtless Dash, but Jigga is shown with an arm wrapped rather intimately around her waist in a pre-Beyonce’ pose or two. Aaliyah died in a 2001 plane crash.
