The Hummer used by Black Mafia was recycled.
The Hummer limousine seized from the drug-dealing Black Mafia Family in Atlanta almost four years ago had been sold at auction, then sold three times more. It had been carrying teenagers to proms and brides and grooms to weddings. But as federal officials prepared for a June trial, they “debriefed” other BMF members and learned agents missed something when they searched the Hummer, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The agents tracked down the car in August, looked underneath the seats and found $875,000 in cash and seven brand new semi-automatic weapons, believed to be proceeds from Black Mafia Family cocaine transactions. The four “innocent owners,” according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert McBurney, knew nothing. Information about the money and guns found in two “traps” was discussed this week as members of the BMF charged in Atlanta were sentenced. Federal agents took control of the black 2003 Hummer H2 stretch limousine in November 2004 when they raided one of BMF’s stash houses, “Space Mountain” on Paran Place in an upper-class northwest Atlanta neighborhood.

Oprah’s mom allegedly owes store $150,000. The Valentina, Inc. boutique has named the mother of talk show diva Oprah Winfrey in a lawsuit claiming that an open charge account has gone unpaid. Vernita Lee allegedly has $155,547.31 in unpaid clothing and services, such as delivery. Her $2,000 minimum monthly payments on the account reportedly stopped without explanation or any further arrangements of pay. Fortunately for Ms. Lee, her daughter was recently listed as Forbes magazine’s top-earning TV celeb – again – checking in with a nine-figure net from 2007 to 2008.

Rapper is implicated in organized crime posse’s coke trafficking

A witness in the notorious Black Mafia Family’s cocaine conspiracy case says rapper Young Jeezy once received multiple kilos of dope from the criminal organization. Ralph Simms, who’s cooperating with the government in hopes of a reduced sentence for his alleged involvement with the Family’s drug trafficking, claims that in 2004, dope was set aside for the Atlanta rapper. Interestingly enough, Jay “Young Jeezy” Jenkins goes by the nickname of “Snowman.” Coincidence? Jeezy has declined comment about the allegation, according to MTV.com. The Black Mafia Family is accused of moving hundreds of millions of dollars in drugs throughout the country.
