DuBose Entertainment reports that it’s creating a script similar to HBO’s “The Wire” series, based on the lives of brothers “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry Flenory, who were recently convicted. The brothers were accused of pumping drugs from Detroit throughout the country and promoting rap artists, with plans of expanding into an entertainment company. DuBose is reportedly also developing a feature film script.

Finding empty theater venues has been a practice of one actor preparing for his role in the film Blindness. Inside the theaters, Danny Glover says he wanders around in darkness to get a feel for the character he portrays. “There’s another kind of humility for me whenever you close your eyes and trust all the other senses that you often don’t use as much, like hearing and smell,” he says. “I began to notice the difference from when I was going from outside to inside the building, the way the air feels.”

Actor Wesley Snipes has been given the green light to leave America while he appeals his conviction of failing to pay income taxes. Prosecutors objected to Snipes maintaining his freedom, but the New Jack City and Blade trilogy star sought a judge’s permission to travel. Federal Judge William Terrell Hodges approved Snipes’ request to travel to London and Bangkok , where he’ll spend eight weeks filming Chasing the Dragon. Snipes avoided conviction on more serious federal tax evasion charges earlier this year.
