New Jersey authorities have taken custody of three siblings with Nazi-like names but declined to discuss the reason the children were removed. The state Division of Youth and Family Services removed the trio – 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell -from their home on Tuesday. Family Services would not elaborate on the reason for taking the children, saying they do not comment on specific cases. Last month, the parents grabbed headlines when a bakery refused to put the Nazi names on their children’s birthday cake.

Market refuses to spell out toddler’s name on birthday cake. A Pennsylvania bakery has refused requests by a White racist family to place the name of Adolf Hitler on a birthday cake. Named for the German racist and Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler Campbell, 3, was forced to have his dessert decorated elsewhere after the Greenwich ShopRite’s baked goods department declined to honor his parents’ request. The family has previously asked for racist symbols to be written on cakes, including swastikas, the store reports. The swastika requests were also refused. “We reserve the right not to print anything on the cake that we deem to be inappropriate,” says store spokesperson Karen Meleta. “We considered this inappropriate.”

Georgia congressman says Obama Wants a Nazi-like force. Georgia Congressman Paul Broun stood by his claim Wednesday that President-elect Barack Obama wants to set up a Gestapo-like civilian security force. His latest remark came a day after the Athens Republican told a radio talk show that he regretted calling Obama a “Marxist.” His spokeswoman said, “We have not issued any official apology” for comparing Obama’s proposals to the tactics of Hitler and the Soviet Union. What he said in the [radio] interview does not negate what he really feels – that he has questions and concerns regarding some of the statements Obama has made,” said the spokeswoman, Jessica Morris.
King James hasn’t said that he’ll leave Cleveland. Calling speculation that his superstar will leave the team in two years “an insult to the city,” the Cleveland Cavaliers owner denies such gossip. Dan Gilbert says any word of LeBron James heading to New York in 2010 is mere conjecture. James has made no mention of heading East when his contract expires in two years, says Gilbert. He adds that the Cavs and James will focus on competing for a championship.

ESPN recruits rapper to share views via Web. Commenting on everything from his love of the Red Sox to his recent Wimbledon-viewing party and little league football career, a rapper has joined ESPN. Lil Wayne is a guest blogger for ESPN The Magazine. “I don’t watch nothing but sports – no movies, no news, no television shows – so I thought this would be fun,” he writes in his first entry. An editor’s note introducing the commentary describes Weezy as “mega-rapper of the moment.” Doesn’t seem very nice.

Jets, Giants distance themselves from ex-Nazi backer. A potential $30 million-a-year deal has been called off after NFL fans complained about discussions between New York teams and a former Nazi-associated company. German insurance program Allianz was in the running to acquire naming rights of a stadium where the Giants and Jets will play beginning 2010. Jewish organizations criticized the proposed deal because Allianz once insured Nazi death camps and refused to pay claims to Jewish clients. Most commonly associated with the atrocities of the Holocaust, Nazi doctrine called for the extermination of Blacks and other non-White ethnicities.
