R. Kelly’s kin named in barbershop shooting.  The teen nephew of singer R. Kelly has been charged as an adult in the alleged attempted murder and attempted armed robbery of patrons at a barbershop last month. Brayel Kelly, son of the singer’s brother Carey, wasn’t initially identified as a suspect because he was also shot in the incident. The teen’s brother was also at the scene of the alleged crime, but hadn’t been charged.

“Pied piper’s” nephew shot in robbery attempt. Singer R. Kelly’s 15-year-old nephew is hospitalized after a shooting in Chicago, while his brother is in custody for an alleged robbery attempt. Actor’s son impresses dad with generosity. Actor Will Smith’s oldest son Trey is asking that guests who attend his forthcoming 16^th birthday bash bring gifts, but not for the celebration. Instead, Trey has asked that presents be donated to the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Will explains: “About eight weeks ago, his grandmother died of cancer and he said he just realized they’re just gifts…he was there in the moment when she passed, so he got a real sense of that loss.”

Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson on Sunday put up $100,000 as a reward to help find her 7-year-old nephew, according to The Associated Press. In her first public words since Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot dead in their Southside Chicago home on Friday and her nephew, Julian King, was discovered missing, she also pleaded with the public for help. “Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely,” the Oscar-winning singer/actress wrote on her MySpace page. “If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately.” An Amber Alert continued into Sunday for young Julian, who was discovered missing Friday after the bodies of his grandmother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and 29-year-old uncle Jason Hudson were found in the home they all shared. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed Sunday to E! News that it was Jennifer Hudson who identified the bodies of her mother and brother, who died of multiple gunshot wounds on Friday. Cops turned her sister’s estranged husband over to state custody, Sunday, as they investigated whether he was responsible for the killings.
