Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who operated on rapper Kanye West’s mother before she died, will spend the next year in jail on a drunken-driving rap. Last year, Adams pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge. When Adams was arrested in late June, police said he was driving the wrong way on Interstate 680 (between Sacramento and San Francisco) and that his blood alcohol level was .20 percent.
