Annual film fest to feature look at rap star’s life. A look at the man who’s been called the rap game’s hottest MC will be featured next month at the annual “Sundance Film Festival.” The life of Dwayne Carter Jr., a.k.a. “Lil Wayne,” will be screened for audiences at the event in Park City, Utah Jan. 15-25. Featuring personal, in-depth interviews with Weezy, the film traces the Grammy-winning multi-platinum star’s rise to fame and scrapes with misfortune. “I wrote my first rap at 8,” he says in a film trailer, “talking about fu–kin’, smokin’, shootin’ guns. Same sh–. All that crazy sh– that everybody love.” Founded by actor Robert Redford, Sundance attracts filmmakers and audiences from around the globe. Lil Wayne is set to begin a winter tour next week.
