There’re Several Questions About Simpson’s ‘Fair Trial’

October 7th, 2008

oj

When questioned during jury selection, all 12 of the non-Blacks who were eventually chosen as jurors said they would give O.J. Simpson a fair trial, but the fact that at least five of them said they believed the former football legend had gotten away with murder 13 years ago is enough to make you wonder. Read the rest here.

James:
Your sense of reality when it comes to Black violent crime is VERY DISTORTED. We could go on for hours talking about specific cases here…did i say that there is NO injustice in the judicial system? No. There have been faulty rulings since the beginning…to all races. No system in the world is perfect. Fact is the jury were hand picked by both sides…defense and prosecution. Just b/c they were white doesn’t mean the evidence did NOT prove his guilt.
Your ignorance lies in the area of denial, ignorance, and bias. Look up the numbers on violent crimes commited by young Black men in America. If they look crazy, imagine all of the cases gone ‘cold’ because they couldn’t find the perps!!!
The odds that a Black man murders/robs a White man exponentially outweighs those of a White man murdering/robbing a Black man.
The odds that a Black man rapes a White woman exponentially outweighs those of a White man raping a Black woman.
That’s fact. Those that complain that there are too many Black men in prison….DON’T COMMIT CRIMES!!!! PERIOD!!!!
Now someone is going to respond to this message not attacking my numbers or logic, but something totally irrelevant, or some name calling. Talk facts; talk reasoning; talk objectivity, or don’t talk at all.

UMLaw…you post no numbers but espouse your own ideas. The point of my comment to you is the simple stated fact, out of the OWN jurors mouths, that they believed OJ got away with murder. How can ANYONE be thought of as unbiased who believes one is already guilty of a crime?? Please clarify that one. I can’t wait to hear that reply.

What studies are you referring to and under what auspices were they conducted?? You post the same tired line in all these posts. As for the @%## of women…white men own that one here in the US of A. And I LOVE the way you totally ignored my point about the Rodney King case. Difference between the perpetrators…white men claim some type of Providence/law/righteous cause/manifest destiny when committing said crimes. Spare me your arguments. Bias, no…the truth alone shall set you free. And since you are sooo smart, you would know that bno @%## statistics are accurate since it is one the most underreported crimes.

I was not on the jury of any of O.J.’s trials. Whether or not he got away with murder or was innocent of the murders, I don’t know.
Unless someone with an incredible eye for detail along with a photographic memory steps up, claims that he was a witness to the murders which O.J. was exhonerated, demands a polygraph test to prove his or her testimony, and says “O.J. did it!” then I say it’s time that we finally give O.J. the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he is innocent.
As for O.J.’s recent day in court, I hope that the guilty verdict is based on the evidence…and not based on the idea that he was guilty of a murder for which he was found not-guilty. If, in the jury room, he was being re-tried of a 1995 homicide, then what we have here is a miscarriage of justice.

I believe OJ got what he deserved! He was guilty then and he is guilty now. Now, can we all just move on…?

Who freakin cares!!! He was and still is an IDIOT!!! What part of sit your old butt down and chill didn’t he understand. You used up your free get out of jail card on the first go around, so what did you expect!!! This is still not going to bring Nicole or Ron back, so why the freak are they (the media) concerned about what the Browns or Goldmans think about this trial. Everyone needs to get over O.J. and his stupid behind. He will have plenty of time to cry and get religion while he is locked up. Stupid is as stupid does!!!!

Swaggerr….u r stupid. Are u saying black people are idoits????? If so……..may GOD have Mercy on you!

Hypno Said on

O.J. probably did kill those two people. I dont condone taking anyones life… but it has been happening to black people since the begining of time. Four years ago, my cousin was murdered by five white men. Justice hasnt been served… with that being said, lets move on.

I have no sympathy for O.J. for the simple fact, he should have known he was going to be a target! You got off with murder for two white people… hello move out of the country or something.. the sad part is… he played right into their hands. The only run in with the law for me would be a traffic violation… if I was O.J. But instead… he choose theft, kidnapping, etc.

DLThug Said on

Don’t drop da soap O.J. ………LOL!

DOOM Said on

O.J’S TIME HAS COME!! U CAN’T CONTINUE 2 DO WROMG AND EXPECT RIGHT 2 COME UR WAY.. GO DO UR TIME O’J’

Cheryl Said on

I believe he did the killing 13 years ago and I knew this was going to happen. I knew that he would get into some type of trouble again and what happened years ago would play a big part of his sentence today. I don’t know why they had an all white jury for you know that all white of America thought OJ was guilty of killing his wife and her lover. Regardless of the fact OJ is not smart at all, he put himself once again in this foolishness, I feel bad that there trying to hang him high even though it’s 2008 but racism is still among us as well as White America does not forget what a black man can or did do!

My Rita Said on

It is amazing how a white woman is put on a pedestal! it doesn’t matter if she was a drug user or a bimbo like Palin. Because she is white everything she does is right. The murders are sad & unfortunate. If a jury aquitted OJ years ago the law stands. I don’t like him, shows no respect for women in general. He was stupid to put himself in that position. He will never get a fair trial in the US period!

Justice has not been served. Our judicial system is flawed. We have a double standard in this great country of ours. One for Caucasians and one for people of color, particularly, Blacks/descendants of slaves in America. White men murdered, Emmett Till, and admitted to it via Time Magazine. They sodomized, tortured and bludgeoned him till he expired. Emmett Till’s face was pound to a pulp. An all white jury found these monsters, not guilty. As long as we have all white jury’s judging people of color, the outcome will be the same.

MR OJ SIMSON IS BEING PROSECUTED AND FOND GUILTY FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT. I THOUGHT THIS S THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WHERE ONE IS NOT GUILTY UNTILL PROVEN SO; IF SUCH S THE CASE WHY NO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE PERSON THAT STOOD OUT TO STATE THAT HE IS THE ONE THAT MASTERMINDED THE WHOLE THING FROM ON-SET. I KNOW THE SYSTEM WANTS TO FRY HIM FOR THE PAST CASE WHERE HE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY BY THE JURY OF HIS PEERS. THIS IS NOT RIGHT AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED. OJ MIGHT BE GUILTY OF SO MANY THINGS BUT NOT WITH THIS CASE.

peggypennie Said on

I watched this trial faithfully every day! I was shocked at the verdict but not surprised. I pray for re-trial.

UMLAW:

Stop making everything about race; that line is getting old. I don’t care what anybody says; yes, OJ is a murderer and he deserves to be locked up finally. The only reason he was free is because of the lies of a corrupt racist LAPD officer, a weak prosecuting team and his high priced lawyer’s excellent skills. Both OJ and RKelly are guilty as hell!!! And I still disagree with your assessment of black people and crime. How come you didn’t respond to the story last week that refuted your theory on who commits the most crimes? You were noticeably absent on that blog…but like I said it didn’t support your already biased view of blacks and crime so of course you were not be interested.

Madd Maxx Said on

Thank God he has finally been convicted. That man is such an ass and a disgrace to all black people. Especially those that have stood by him through the years.

usanewsvideo Said on

This is a constitutional test. If it works then OJ will go free. No way the jurors should have been on that panel if they believed he was guilty in his last trial…just watch and let the supreme court do its thing. If they come correct and I believe they will, he’ll be out in about 6 months.
