Trial Delayed In Sean Taylor Murder
August 19th, 2008The former NFL player was killed in his Miami-area home last year.

It had been set for this month, but the trial of four men accused of murdering NFL star Sean Taylor won’t happen until next year. A judge on Friday set a new trial date of March 3, 2009. Prosecutors say the suspects shot the Washington Redskins safety last November during a robbery attempt at his home in the Miami area. One of the five suspects, 20-year-old Venjah Hunte, has pleaded guilty. The other four have pleaded not guilty and could get life in prison if convicted.

As a new resident of DC, this was a tragedy from all points of view. To the family of Sean… Many Blessings. To the families of the young men who committed such a horrible act… Many lessons.
Why do we (the people, family) have to wait so long for justice. Many blessings to both families.

I am from the lee county area where the boys are from. I saw 2 of those boys go up. It is real shame what happen and I know if they could turn back time they would have made different decisions that night. I would like to send prayers out to al involved as well as their families. The Wardlow and Rivera family mostly. I remember whrn little Eric was born, he attended a Christain private school during his early years along with his sister. I hate to see so many of our young black kids end up in the system never to return home
This delay is sad. The families and the public want closure on this issue. Those young men should get what they deserve. A life for a life. The rest should get life in prison. Be accountable for your actions and learn that taking someone’s life is not allowed or accepted.
