Maybe Madea should have used another song.

Tyler Perry along with Lionsgate Entertainment are being sued by the estate of state of gospel singer/songwriter Bertha James for copyright infringement for using the entire chorus from her song ‘When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus’ in Madea Goes to Jail.

The verse was performed during the scene when Madea was released from jail.

In the event that he did use this song without rights I’m sure Tyler Perry and Lionsgate will do whats right by Bertha James. Everyone is human and makes mistakes.
