Obama won the election… that should be the end of it.

But it seems he is not even President-elect until the electoral college votes him in.

This should be no sweat… but it seems that there is this constitution thing where the electoral college has to be sure he is eligible to be president before they can vote him in.

All Obama has to do is show his birth certificate and it’s all over with.

But he has an army of lawyers in every federal and state courtroom trying prevent people from seeing his FULL Vault Certified Birth Certificate. And I still can’t figure out why he is blocking public release of all his college records. Bad grades? :>)

As a voter I want to know what’s holding this up. Just show it so we can move on to the innauguration. I mean is it worth spending $500k on legal fees to freeze all this information instead of just sending in your birth certificate? I mean it now looks like every state has NOT seen this birth certificate. They just TRUSTED him and ASSUMED it was OK. They could ask for it but so far State Secretary has done it even though they have been sued in more than a dozen states to do so.

To put all one’s hope in a man because of his race is heading down a dangerous path. While Obama may have many fine qualities viewing his ascent to the presidency as something ordained from above goes far out in a dangerous direction.

Many have suggested this is ALL about race. Most of them will not see it any other way. As Clarance Thomas said… reverse the situation… what if this was about McCain and everyone was saying he was ineligible and if he is sworn in it will violate the constitution and lead to a constitutional crisis. what if… what would we all think then…

Well, Leo Donofrio has a case filed at the Supreme Court that will be reviewed Friday that says McCain was NOT eligibile. He is not a NATURAL Born Citizen according the Artilce 2 of the Constitution. Born of two US citizens in Panama… To make this balanced the case says both Obama and McCain are not eligible and the Supreme Court has agreed to review this.

Why don’t they just throw this case out… if the case is successful neither McCain nor Obama will be president. Clearly the Court sees merit in the case… they see that it is a constitutional issue because otherwise they would tell Donofrio to go home. They also see it has substance otherwise the would see it as frivolous.

It is not about race to those who see it as an issue of law and keeping the constitution whole.

Obama should he show his birth certificate will stop these law suits in their tracks… let’s hope he pulls back his army of lawyers, stops trying to throw out law suits, and just shows the certificate— the vault certificate full birth certificate. He needs to or this will NEVER go away.

How come we have never heard of this special committee before? I never knew that about having to be sworn in by electoral officials before the official inauguration. Its real strange how someone who happens to be african american has all these new rules but other white presidents in the past never had these things talked about. I am tired of people using sick, last ditch efforts to stop this man from being president. He won fair and square. The american people voted him in and he isn’t going anywhere. OBAMA 2008-2016.

Actually these “rules” have been around since the country was founded. When you vote you are actually voting for the electors in your state. If your candidate wins then the electors later cast their vote for the winning candidate. So if Obama wins a state with 20 electoral votes, those 20 electors will almost certainly vote for Obama. It works this way in each state. Remember during the election every said he had to have at least 271 elector votes to become president… that is why the said it. No one said the popular vote decided it because it doesn’t. It’s the number of electoral votes. But the college hasn’t voted yet… they must make sure the election was valid.

The electoral college votes on Dec. 15th. They must certify the winning candidate. It’s always been that way but no one ever notices this because it hardly ever changes anything. It is not something new just for Obama.

So the electoral college consists of all the electors in all 50 states. They must certify that Obama is ELIGIBLE to be president as part of this process. If he is then he is OFFICIALLY President elect Obama (even though everyone uses the title president elect now it is not official until they electors vote).

The only thing likely to change this is if Obama is not eligible. We have never had a president who was not eligible become president. This is why he needs to prove his citizenship. If the courts force him to then he must show his full vault-certified birth certificate and possibly other documents. If he doesn’t and the courts don’t make him this could become a crisis of another sort because he will have kept secret what is actually on his certificate. This is why we are all concerned… this needs to be avoided.

So this is not new. It is documented all over the Web and in textbooks. The problem is a lot of people are just beginning to realize it.
