This isn’t surprising when you consider that China is a country that remains in the dark ages. They are a closed and isolated society that to this day continues to commit all kinds of human rights violations and atrocities against their own citizens. I have never met a non-African street dealer in Beijing. Not only did they openly sell hash on the street but they also aggressively targeted white tourists and residents. It got to be really annoying; while walking through parts of town you were almost guaranteed to be harassed at least once. Several months ago the local police swept through the area and deported/jailed a large number of them.
