Wesley Snipes Owes Court $217,000, Judge Rules
August 7th, 2008Actor ordered to pay costs of his own prosecution on tax charges.
Prosecutors who felt that actor Wesley Snipes has gotten too many breaks since his conviction on tax charges probably don’t mind a judge’s latest decision. Snipes was ordered Wednesday to repay $217,000 in costs for his prosecution since he was convicted of failing to file tax returns. Snipes was sentenced to prison, but is free while he appeals the verdict. Prosecutors recently objected when Snipes received permission to travel to Europe to star in a film.
Not on in this country should be paying taxes-just like you want to protest gas-we all should not pay taxes for one year. What will they come up with then.

I understand your comments, except I couldn’t make out what Justice was trying to get at in the beginning of the first sentence but remember, “freedom of speech” and WE black women need not stoop to Mr. Snipes level. WE are much better than that!
Black women you should not let his opinon of you upset you. Everyone knows that black is where its at so if any man can’t appreciate that, its his loss.
He needs to go to jail. We all are here and working our tails out for a living. This milk chocholate man wants to down our beautiful Afro-american woman. He has alot of nerves —look how dark he is. I just don’t get it. Now if he was light skin– he can sort of get away with this, but he’s black, black black.
We have some ot the beautiful black woman here in US, and very educated, professional, and kind. Let the man do his time. Give him a chance to think about his life. He needs to read more
I feel very sad for his mother. Unless I am mistaken , she also is a Black Woman. Forgive him for his ignorance, for he has truly shown how ignorant he REALLY IS!!! Let`s all pray he finds his way back to the light(No pun intended)
As a black man, I believe this judgment against him is not fair. If he Mr. Snipes was a WHITE man he would not have had to repay court costs. He never should have been sentenced to prison in the first place. Other actors, politicians, and musicians have been in the same situation and were not sentenced to prison…why now? Willie Nelson owed the IRS a hell of a lot a more money than Snipes and had not paid taxes in over 10 years. He should not be treated the way he is NO MATTER WHAT STATEMENTS he made.
