Widower Rejects Settlement Offer From R&B Singer
February 21st, 2009His lawyers have quit on him, but the man whose wife died in a freeway crash after singer Brandy rear-ended a vehicle wants big money. Even though Brandy wasn’t charged with any wrongdoing in the Los Angeles-area accident, she was reportedly willing to pay $200,000 of a $1.2 million settlement offer made by her insurance company. Marouane Hdidou apparently hopes to get more from the platinum-selling artist and former “Moesha” star: When he rejected the offer, his attorneys withdrew from the case. Hdidou’s wife was found to have been driving with marijuana in her system, authorities say. Investigators decided that Brandy wasn’t at fault in the 2007 accident after a year of examining evidence.

TAKE THE MONEY OFFERED AND TRY TO MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE!! YOU MAY END UP WITH OUT THE MONEY AND YOUR WIFE.
I agree red neck hunter, take the money & count ur blessings! More money won’t bring your wife back, let her rest. Take it & move on with your life.
I really think that he needs to take this money and move on with his life, he seems to think he has hit the gravy train here and is no longer focusing on
his wife, If this didn’t involve Brandy he would have taken a settlement a long time ago and for much less money, Brandy if he doesn’t take remove offer from the table and move on or donate to a cause in his wife’s name.
So let me understand this man got what we can call justice and an offer for a settlement and he refused it. I guess he never heard that sometimes greedy people do not always prevail. I would love to have justice served to the people that I feel is responsible for my son dying at three weeks. I would love to get offered an settlement. Is it going to happen probably not. I guess this guy do not understand that truly if she was not convicted of any wrongdoing then she really do not have to pay him anything right.
I think this guy might be obsesse with Brandy and is some kind of weirdo,
he want’s her complete attention on him,it no longer about the money.
This guy might be a crackpot, she might need to watch her back from this man…
So his wife got high probably caused Brandy a bunch of grief. His wife dies Brandy was found not @ fault she offers him a grip anyway he says no. Man u r looney, she is trying to reach out and u acting like an ass. Did u forget we are in recession! Remember 0 subtract 0 equals 0. U won’t be offered anything in about a week take it from a woman we aint that nice. If she has a bad day the money is off the table.
At the rate this world is going….i would take any type of settlement. He needs to grow up….take the money, start his life over and get a new wife or something….his wife is gone….he can not bring her back…..but he feels like Brandy need to suffer too!! she has suffered enough…..man get a life
OR IS SHE JUST LYING !!

This story is incomplete of the facts. Of the $1.2 settlement offer made to the surviving spouse, he and his family will receive $300,000 while the lawyers will pocket the lion’s share.
