Woman Charged with Murder After Beating 5-Year-Old to Death

Arshon Baker, 5, is dead because he wanted his mother’s attention. Now Angel Glass faces murder and abuse charges, according to Lt. Thomas Stacho, of the Cleveland Police Department.

Police interviewed Glass on Friday night after Arshon was rushed to MetroHealth from their house in the 6600 block of Ovington Road, Stacho said.
“She said she was in her apartment doing another woman’s hair when the boy pulled on her dress to get her attention,” Stacho said. “She ordered him to stand in the corner. After a few minutes, he came out of the corner, so she said she took a brush and beat him on his hands.
“When that didn’t work, she took a braided belt and hit him with it,” Stacho said. “She said the boy ran away and she grabbed him and continued to beat him.”
Glass took her son to the hospital after being hit on the head after losing responsiveness.
Wow! What goes around comes around. That woman should go to jail for the rest of her life. How could one possible chastise a 5 year old child who is looking for love and attention……He is now in heaven with the rest of other Angels. May his soul RIP.

I have a neighbor whom i call child services on almost everyday. She has 3 kids that she beats til she see blood. None of them are older than 8. I even followed them to school and told the teacher. She has parentin classes that are makin stuff worse for the kids. But all i can do is pray and keep callin our cincinnati police. R.i.p to the baby who was killed. Hopefully april fisher will learn from her mistakes.
She needs to be beaten in the same manner. It is sad that a child has to remember the last thing was his own mother killing him. May GOD have mercy on her soul.
well this is very sad..i am now an expecting mom and i am praying daily for God to help me in every way possible,,,she really needs to be dealt with..and yeah may God have mercy on her soul…for that little boy R.I.P God bless your soul…

I would agree with whipping a child on the butt!I ‘m a LORD fearing man , and I agree with not sparing the rod!She deserves to be killed!
My prayer is that all of us would learn from this terrible, horrific incident and ever be mindful of the fine line between discipline and abuse. This poor baby should not have died this way. It broke my heart when I read the information pertaining to his death. My husband and I have two beautiful children and are expecting a third. This incident has reminded me of the constant need to seek guidance and counsel from God in how to guide, instruct, discipline and love our children in a day like today. Ultimately, we need God to be the best parents that we can be. The moment we realize this, the moment our healing will take place and our children will thrive off of the love and affection we give them as a result. God Bless.
There is nothing more important in this world then to acknowledge your child when they are trying to get your attention.. doing someone’s hair was more important? Wow!! This woman should be put away for life, let her think long and hard about what she has done. May that baby rest in peace now he’ll be able to get all the attention he needs from our heavenly father.. I am not here to play judge and jury,, only our FATHER can do that, GOD himself.. I am very displeased at her actions and how she addressed the situation.. I cant imagine what goes through peoples minds to react in that matter,, its so disgraceful and horrifying… I just wish people would think before they act…. This should be awake up call for us all… May God keep him…. I just hope and pray that Ms. Harris has her time to reflect back on this terrible outcome….. GOD BLESS!!

Don’t quite know if this woman beat this child on a consistent basis, and I am not in a position to judge her. I can judge the behavior, which is so unfortunate. If there is a lesson to be learned, it is that when you have reached your last nerve, take a second and recoup. You never know when your anger will manifest in a way that you can’t take back.
Poor baby May he rest in peace, and the women getting her hair done should go to jail also. what a dang shame.
