The LAPD need to be held accountable for shooting defenseless people? I am tired of reading about these (bully’s with a badge) ecspecially the LAPD murdering defenseless people. Where is the civilian review board when these people are being shot down and murdered in the street by the police? In the majority of these cases there is no gun. The police find that he/she had a wallet or his/her id in his/her hand. Most citizens are not familiar with the traffic stop process. We are not paying taxes for the police to come into communities to murder people. We are paying them to protect and serve. Killing, murdering should not be apart of protect and serve unless shots are being fired at the police. If shots are not being fired at police then why are they shooting? The police should not be murdering people that are not shooting at them. The police need to understand that the peoples lives are just as important as theirs. That they have families that love them too. These peoples lifes are important to their families too. There is alot wrong with our system in how these investigations are being handled because defenseless people are still being murdered by the police. Police Officers shooting should have to go before a diverse and fair jury of the community. The officer should not received paid administrative leave when involved in a shooting. If you cut off that pay there would be alot less shootings and murders by the police.

Let’s be honest…not all cops are bad. I’ve met some good cops in my day but there seems to be a small number that are trigger happy. Cops should only use deadly force if there lives are in danger. It is a tough job and I wasn’t there so I can’t really say whether or not they were racist or in the wrong based on this article.

BET needs to start providing more information in its articles. I have a feeling there is a lot more to this story.

OK Daniel we all understand your point but just like you love yours we love ours just the same. The fact still remains this man had a head on accident with a tree. Dazed, confused, disoriented, bleeding. He probably had the phone charger in his hand thinking it was his cell phone. Maybe because of his condition after the accident. This has got to stop. I agree if you are gonna shoot then shoot to wound in the leg. But to shoot someone in the back is just wrong. Picture someone running and supposely having a gun in his hand at what point did he aim it at the officers and still get shot in the back… DUH…come on now…Not all officers are bad. I have several friends that are officers. But I have also encountered the ones that are just plain cocky, racist,nasty or down right mean.. Just because they are officer of the LAW they are still human beings. Some were A** holes before the force now they are A** holes with badges to protect them in their wrong doing….

No white man Daniel the fact is maybe this man was under the influrence of drugs ,and maybe he did point a charger at the police.But still shoot first and ask questions later is played out in our community..Pepper spray, taser, police dogs, or just maybe baking up and paying attention to whats in his hand could maybe save a life…..Gun happy officers who look for reasons to shoot will not be tolerated

Is the police stories ever going to change ? Either your going to run them down that’s why they shoot or they were pionting something that look like a gun .This is Bull LA cops need to get their act together . They need a Top Cop like Philadelphia got he’s not taking that he’s firing any officer that get out of line or us excessive force.

The messed up thing about this incident, beside another innocent Black man losing his life at the hands of coward police, is they will get off without consequence – AGAIN!

There are no more words to say, it just happens to often, God bless and keep his family through this loss, what goes around comes around, they may get away for awaile but they pay in the end.
