both stories are tragic what is this world coming to. pepole have lost respect for one another, i feel that the parents and school officals should be held liable for the young man suicide. my heart goes ou to both families
Heart breaking as this tragedy is as well as any loss of a child, my heart is grieving at the loss of a soul. This baby wasn’t just attacked by the bullies, his soul and spirit were stricken with a lack of knowledge of Jesus Christ. How does an 11 year old process death and taking it into his own hands to say this is it! The suicide rate among young black males is a silent phenomenom and we need a World Revival, it should just be a gathering of ONE CHURCH of ALL CHURCHES and administer the II CHRONICLES 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall HUMBLE themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and wil forgive their sin, and will HEAL their land. God Bless this mother and all parents that have lost their children to suicide and May they find the power through Christ Jesus to continue on and prayerfully be an encouragement to someonelse in this situation.
When adults ignore bullying behavior it rubber stamps the continuation of that behavior. Unfortunately these days if you don’t discipline your kid for bullying others your kid could end up in the morgue or in jail. If your kid is being bullied by someone you must be your kid’s advocate and solve the problem. Kids are becoming even more and more cruel to each other as a sign of the overall societal sickness. When adults don’t treat each other decent how can you expect the kids that are watching these adults behavior to act better?????????
This young man would bully my daughter everyday, and I went and talked to the school, and it just kept happenning, so I told my little brother and my cousins to scare him like he was doing my daughter. To this day he dont bully anyone else. this person thought she didnt have anyone on her side because I tryed with the school first, and they did nothing so I stepped in as her mother and was not going to let anyone beat up on my daughter, even if I had to take days off of work to handle that problem . He dont bully anymore, and I am so sorry this baby took his life, I wish someone could have stepped in too.
I, myself, have experienced bullying when I was in 7th grade (I had frizzy hair from a bad perm, crooked front teeth, big glasses, a few noticable pimples, and my mom made me wear clothing from the clearance rack. My parents didnt have a lot but my mother was pretty cheap even when they made just as much as the other parents.) Anyway, I am a girl and was picked on a maryiad of times by kids… particularly by this girl named Tamara (or Samara Farmer from VA) I believe (oh and I hope she reads this cause she was a pretty nasty b!tch for such a little monster.) Anyway she was NASTY but I ignored her and never bothered with any come-backs. I heard that people eventually lose interest in making fun of you if you ignore them. I KNOW that’s not always the case and it’s “easier said than done” but it had sort of worked for me and eventually I looked more and more beautiful in H.S. and continue to look good (in my opinion at any rate ;o) I had my braces, fixed my frizz and am sure I’ve been hit on WAY more than that Creature who had a problem with me back in the day.
Anyway, on a Serious Note, bullying is just Wrong and I feel for anyone who has gone through it because I (have.) All I can suggest is to talk to your kids everyday after school and see what’s going on… Speak to their teachers, the other kids parents etc. Maybe speak to the teacher(s) about having your child switch seats in class or lunch…. or if it’s Really Bad… switch classes. If they’re being bullied in the bus, tell your child to sit as close to the front of the bus as possible, that way the bus driver hears/sees more of what’s going on… and I’d think bullies are less likely to start fights when in the presence of an adult. And if it’s (extremely bad,) have your child switch schools. My little brother was picked on at the bus stop (not literally On the bus… but waiting for the bus) when he was in middle school
. My father dropped him off at school ever since.. but he Took the bus home and probably sat in the front of the bus. Anyway, I don’t know if any of those suggestions help but hopefully one of them will help at least one person.
pennie,
I would have done the same thing in your case. Bully’s only bully because they can get away with it and sometimes we have to use unconventional methods to remedy the situation.
The triple murderer should burn in hell!! Prisons are full of these type of people and you always take their sides to say that they should be freed. Let these murderers be an example of who you idiots are vouching for.
One luv for my N**** on my family tree.

GOD, HELP US ALL TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER!!
50 years ago my sister’s childhood life was (and still is) devastated from school kids older than us all, who roamed as bully gangs and were ignored/never corrected by in-denial parents, overworked school, uninvolved police. We young kids finally took them on ourselves. They only when their violence was returned to them. They ran off whining like crybabies lying all the way to their folks who were only to delighted to all gang up on us in protection of their little innocent precious and merely precocious little babies who couldn’t possibly ever do wrong. The parents were twice worse than their kids all put together. They all behaved like wild frenzied beasts with a scary blood-lust. The parents, too vain, proud, and in denial. The only one who said or tried to do anything to help was our local church preacher. He’d say all the time: even though the problem isn’t skin but sin and the answer’s not race but grace–you need to also remember there’s no forgiveness of sin where there’s no repentance. God knows how smug those hellions all sat in church Sunday morning, after being unrepentant unholy terrors all week. Our folks worked hard every day too AND they raised us better than to bully. This past week at my child’s school had Anti-Bullying week – a cheap misinformed brochure and parent/child workshop response by phlegmatic school staff over too many student-bullying complaints to staff, because school says parents shouldn’t go one-on-one over it, but keep in in the school-loop only. But staff doesn’t care to deal with it at all. Can somebody say Tolerance? Some of the known school bullies were even calling it Bully Week like a trophy or badge. I wasn’t afraid of them back then, and I’m not afraid of them now. My kid gets in trouble when he’s ready to belt another kid’s chops against bullies who take ruin his school things, get verbal, and get physical. The school says I’m not being loving. I know lots of parents who wouldn’t mind at all ‘applying the board of education to the seat of understanding’ on some of these criminal-wannabees. Whether an individual or any corporate company, agency, or institution, …abuse is abuse. And it’s criminal. It will only end with first-offenders getting extremely severe penalties or having a miracle change of heart. Victims need assurance of criminals being punished. Bullies aren’t ever to be allowed to get out as though their noses are clean. Making schools (or government) fix the problem ignores who is really to blame for these criminal kids being bad–their parents who didn’t raise them right.
