Woods Wins Buick Open
August 3rd, 2009Tiger Woods won the Buick Open – yet again – on Sunday and captured his 69th PGA victory. “I’ve played all around the world, and I’ve never seen a day like this,” said Woods, also the 2002 and 2006 winner at Warwick Hills. “This event has always been special, but today was something else.” The world’s No. 1 player shot a 3-under 69, cruising to a three-stroke win, his third at the Buick Open. It will be his last victory at Warwick Hills. The tournament’s sponsor, General Motors, has announced that it would bring to an end the PGA Tour’s longest partnership, The Associated Press reported. The Greenbrier in West Virginia will replace the Buick Open in 2010, GolfWeek magazine reports.
