The Winning Ticket?
Posted July 31, 2007 – With such a large field of Democratic and Republican presidential hopefuls, there’s a good chance of some intra-party rival hook-ups.
Take, for example, former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s comments this past week that when all the bickering is done, Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama will wind up being on the Democratic Party presidential ticket.
Of the Democratic candidates currently in the race, which two names would you like to see on the ticket?
- Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama
- Barack Obama and John Edwards
- Hillary Clinton and John Edwards
- Neither of the candidates
Whom would you like to see on a Republican ticket?
-Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney
-John McCain and Rudy Giuliani
-Mitt Romney and John McCain
-Neither of the candidates

I will take Obama. Although I am not an Edwards fan because of various reasons.
I started to say neither of them because I am more excited and focused on the non-presidential candidates (minus Obama).
I think better changes can come more from the legislative branch than the executive branch because Bush/Cheney have forever diminish the offices of Pres/VP that it has weaken the executive branch.
I think America had better chances in 2000 and 2004 to put a first rate president in the WH.
The 08 race is too early and has become a soap-opera, if not a circus.
I will support a candidate that defends fellow Democrats instead of undermining them at every turn.
I will support a candidate that pledges to open the books on Bush I and Bush II and not cover up the corruption.
I will support a candidate that believes in education, the environment, and looks out for Katrina victims and the little people rather than big government.
Neither of the candidates mentioned for both parties! There is not one Democrat that should be elected President. As for the so called front runners on the Republican ticket, they are just as bad. Hillary, McCain and Obama voted to give amnesty to 20 million or more illegal aliens in this country and hispander every chance they get. Democrats take the Black vote for granted because most Blacks who vote usually vote Democratic. Most Republicans are no better if not worse. Mitt Romney and Guiliani are flip floppers and are not true conservatives. Fred Thompson just hired Spencer Abraham to be his campaign manager. Abraham is a pro Islamic lobbyist. You can read about it for yourself at: http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2007/07/jihad_fred_fred.html Most elected officials are not concerned with their constituents and ALL Democratic and Republican voters need to forget party lines, race and gender and pay attention to where each candidate stands and their history in public office. Who is backing them financially (big business, lobbyist, special interest groups or the American people) because the big money doners will be their bosses. George W. Bush is a perfect example. The main stream media never mentions these issues much, the North American Union (or SPP), the NAFT Superhighway and illegal immigration. However, Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter are very familiar with these issues. My choice for the Presidency is Tancredo/Paul or Tancredo/Hunter. Any of the three will do because they are aware of what is at stake. The others are aware too, but they are not for the American people and what’s best for this country. More is at stake than the news is telling us. To learn more about the above issues, please vist Youtube.com or do a search.
I hope Obama does not choose Clinton as his running mate if he wins the nomination and declines an invitation from Clinton to be VP if she wins the nomination. Barak Obama is intelligent and charming. Clinton would never choose a candidate that would out shine her. She will offer under the condition that Obama says “NO”. Remember she loves those preconditions.
thank you golden eagle!!!!! for stating the obvious of coarse. but most as you say are so unaware that it never matters election time ,as you stated we need someone who actually gets it. and will do what is necessary to protect this nation first and foremost. by the way indie liberal the democrats are a joke period. you cant honestly believe the dems get it if they did, they would have done much more with their time running congress……that is about what they have done.
So Brandon, you want four more years of Republican rule? Guess you like a republican president appointing right wing ultra-conservative judges, continuing the war in Iraq, and ignoring a crumbling infrastructure?
Cause that’s what you are going to get if you keep voting republican.
well since you feel the need to bring that up indie liberal,no i am not a republican and dont remember voting for this administration either time. and no i dont like the appointing of any extreme. and let me get this right voting democratic will solve all our problems huh?? all the sudden a crumbling infrastructure is also blamed on the republicans too huh??? give me a break. if i am correct each state allocates what is to be used for roadway up keep deemed by congressional allotments or no? and it seems convenient to include my oppinion on the dems as if i am a card carrying republican which is far from the truth.it is called being your own person . doing research on both sides and being able to expound on that research. i feel no need to call myself liberal or conservative because it is a label that i dont need to validate where i stand on issues. meaning being your own person. thanks but no thanks indie,i forgot that when you disagree with people in this nation you have to be on the other side. i am on americas side period.and if that means i will spell out what the democrats arent doing in their time in congress boo hoo.they have done exactly what i and anyone else who has actually watched what they have done for years….nothing but wine complain and promise things they in no way can or will bring about, meaning they have been in power in congress for how long now ??and they promised to end this war! isnt that what pelosi said or no?? so blame the do nothing congress for not ending it ,along with the fact that they voted to go to war too. but i suppose the republicans being the evil of it all should take responsibility for what the democrats promised as well….
IF I HAD A CHOICE IT WOULD BE NEITHER CANDIDATE ON THE DEM SIDE BUT B/C CHOICES ARE LIMITED I WOULD DEFNITELY CHOOSE OBAMA AND CLINTON, WHO IS TO SAY THAT OBAMA IS THE RIGHT DEM PICK BUT HELL ALL THOSE REPLUBLICANS THOUGHT BUSH WAS AND THEY PUT HIM IN THE WHITE HOUSE. THE ONLY ONES BENEFITED FROM THAT IS THE REPLUBLICANS SO… MAYBE BY CHANCE OBAMA WILL TURN IT AROUND FOR US.
If I had to choose,I would love to make history. The thought of having the first Black president and the first lady as Vp is saying something.anyway however it goes as long as it’s those two in office Im great.Everyone will make out good because the power between the two of them is great,Oh don’t forget about Bill he would have a little insight to you all know we love him too.
I think we just don’t have a choice at all!! As a life long Democrat I am saddened watching them pander to the pro illegal immigrant lobby!!! I have such strong feelings on this issue, that I can not in any way support any Democrat.
Our country will allow millions upon millions of people to add to the social costs and who will pay?? The taxpayers!! My property taxes just go up every year because of city budgets and I am just sick of it!!!
hilary maybe mainly becaue of the support of her husband billy the weed smoker. lol. during her political career she spoke her mind and opinion on subjects with her husband not being present all the time. i like that. she has that politcal experience.
just looking i’d say obama, but i don’t like hearing him talking about deploying troops to other countries for these not so good reasons. we’ve decided we’d be the world’s police, but Africa gets has genocide out the anus with people getting hacked to death with knives! knives!
other than that i really don’t listen a whole lot to the politics in presidential elections. really don’t care too much right now. the fact is this. i think voting is important at the state level. like congressmen, represenatives, judges, mayors, governors, and etc. but not presidents. in actuallity if you were looking at the bush and gore elections. you..being americans who voted… inclucing me. didn’t pick or elect anything and won’t. gore had the popular votes and bush turned to dr. frankenstein with dead folks rising and voting for him. even though gore had the popular votes which are the votes of you americans…bush had the electorial votes. so, who actually picks the president? everybody in your state can vote republican, but the people on the electorial college can choose to vote the other direction. that is just bull crap! so, does my vote really count! what voice do i really have? i’ll vote because people fought for my right to do so. in the end its not what the the you the voter wants to carry out the issues of the nation. it’s what and who the electorial college wants. why can’t get rid of this system. why won’t they change it? when cadidates campagn they’re really trying to sway the mind of that person of persons on the electorial college. only if you knew that though. because supposedly the electorial members sometimes..SOMETIMES vote the way of the popular vote in their state. But the DON’T have to! regularly they DON’T. so, a few individuals decides the nations fate for your state and my state for the millions when it comes to picking our nations leader. i think we’re being had. this was put in place way back when when some states didn’t have a lot of people to vote. now we have cities with millions of people who are better educated and aware of the world and the issues inside and outside of it. until this changes i guess i may stop voting. unless you can prove me different. tell me. of course, you can talk your hear out about the regular response to why you should vote, but in the end tell me if i really pick the president or does the electorial college does it. or that they can vote however the hell they want and make a choice for EVERYBODY.
