Edwards Decides to Bow Out of Race
January 30th, 2008As the Former North Carolina Senator Prepares His Exit, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) Plans to endorse Hillary Clinton

Posted Jan. 30, 2008 – It looks like the Dems are down to two frontrunners in the race for the White House as former North Carolina senator John Edwards will announce his departure from the race this afternoon.

Edwards had originally scheduled a speech on poverty from New Orleans , but will now use the event to tell his supporters and America he is leaving the contest.
Now the big question remains: which remaining candidate will Edwards throw his support behind. He’s managed to snag a few delegates in the early states, but no victories.
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) will now be facing off Super Tuesday without the Edwards factor. Both candidates will continue a full court press for endorsements over the weekend, hoping to ramp up support in the 22 primary states.
Rep. Maxine Water (D-Calif.) is also on tap to endorse Clinton today. Her support could give Clinton a boost with African-Americans in California. Clinton is trying to rebound from the loss of the Black vote in the South Carolina primary.
Following the Republican primary in Florida, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani is also planning to announce he’ll be leaving the race. He plans to give his endorsement to Arizona Sen. John McCain.

As I mention in other posts yet I feel this bears repeating. With Edwards now Out the race things get quite strategic. So where are these delegates going. Obama at this time must continue to persue his message for Change and Moderate message. I think with Edwards blue colar, union, and southern lower income voters it may be a swing towards Obama via he doesnt endorse Clinton (which he probably wont), yet In The South you Must talk about Economic resurgence. For those of you from Miami, New Orleans,Houston, Atlanta,Memphis,Virgina, the Carolinas, etc we all know that lower socialeconomics is not defined by color so much down here any more yet by cash money recirculation into the housing districts. Plenty of poor black, white, and brown people in these places live adjacent to some of the most affluent places in the country. Obama must continue to speak on creating home ownership via home renting (housing developments) that have plagued the South and Entire country for years. Pushing consumer credit and mortgage reform. Creating lower captial taxes for companies, particularly these huge plant and factories in the Energy and Manufactoring sectors, to generate more higher paying substainable jobs. He must not get pulled into arguements that has bogged Ms. Clinton, and her counterparts at the Congressional Black Caucus, that stress mainly social hand-outs. These folks want to live in thoses areas too that are experiencing record growth. Also he Must stress his devotion to Faith, not being overboard yet in his undertone. Edwards voters are still mostly Southerners, that is THE BIBLE BELT. Black, White, and Brown are very much Christian conservatives to an extent. Overall, now the real games begin. Obama will raise the stakes now. I like his chances.
Go Obama! I agree that Obama’s chances are looking better each passing day. If Edwards does not endorse Obama it will hurt his chances for election in any other office. Edwards has campaigned against Hillary. To endorse her would be a big mistake! What’s up with Latinos? Why are they even thinking about supporting Hillary who is against them? In a recent debate Hillary was asked if she supported Identification Cards for Latinos. HILLARY VOTED AGAINST THE LATINOS AND SAID A RESOUNDING “NO”! Barack Obama supported them! So why are Latinos running behind someone who is against them? What are they thinking? I believe Obama understands that something has to be done about Immigration Reform and agreed to do what need to be done to help Latinos! But, Hillary said “NO” to Latinos! On the flip side of the coin, what’s wrong with Congresswomen Maxine Waters-Calif? I hope Blacks are taking a good hard look at her and the Congressional Black Caucuses who are supporting the Clintons against what Blacks are wanting! You will have your chance to vote Waters and others out of office. Your chance will come! DON’T RE-ELECT WATERS-CALIFORNIA, NOR SHEILA LEE-TEXAS, NOR ANY OTHER ELECTED OFFICIALS WHO ARE NOT LISTENING TO US! OUR DAY WILL COME AND EACH OF THEM WILL LOSE THEIR SEATS!
LISTEN UP! ALL OF YOU ELECTED OFFICIALS WHO ARE SUPPORTING HILLARY CLINTON AGAINST OUR WILL! WE WILL ANSWER YOU IN THE NEXT ELECTION! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO ARE NOT LISTENING TO US WILL LOSE YOUR SEAT! VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA! A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS A VOTE TO KEEP YOUR SEAT IN THE NEXT ELECTION!
The Freemoney Family Organization wants to know if anyone can factually quantitify or qualify why they want to support either Barrack Obama or Hillary Clinton!
Please contact the Freemoney Family Organization! We have to meet anyone, especially Black, who can qualify or quantify why they support either candidate!
Also, could someone define:
–Black Man?
–Black Woman?
–Black Cowardly Man?
–Black Cowardly Woman?
Have a Blessed/Freemoney Day!
Edwards is no friend to the rank-and-file American. I’m glad that he is out of the race and would like to see him step out and stay out of the political arena.
I wish that Hillary would follow Edwards. The Clintons are evil and power-hungry.
Other than using our money, which was extorted via taxes, and using it to finance her PR campaign, beginning with New York, Hillary has done nothing for America.
Supporting either Edwards or Clinton is as smart as the chickens supporting Col. Sanders.
Although I’m not 100% in agreement with Obama, I think that he is genuine and honest.
It’s not a Black President we need. It’s an American President.
Personally, I would like to see an Obama, Edwards (VP) ticket on the ballot for the presidential election.
Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) are suppose to be influential black leaders fighting on behave of blacks and minorities. So why would a true member of CBC fail to endorse one of their own who has the same vision and aim? Obviously some of these members are selfish and jealous politians who think only of their political career not what the people need or CBC’s vision. Such folks should not be in the CBC. If CBC wants any recognition and respect and trust from the public they need to explain this.
Joycejewel you are not the voice of black people and don’t speak for us all. Maybe black leaders are voting for who the believe should hold the office, and there are many blacks who agree with them. I am one. No matter what all the bloggers have to say about her I think Hillary would be a wonderful candidate for president, but if Barack wins he has my vote.
