I must admit I don’t understand this super strong hate of the clintons (I think Barack is a better candidate but I don’t hate the clintons) No matter what has happened because of an election where 2 people are duking it out. the clintons have been good for black people. I may be a little older than most but you had to understand how many high ranking AA we had in government prior to them (none) they put us in the cabinet and other high jobs as well when it was not PC to do so. They also raised the minimum wage (you should have been around when I made 3.35 an hour) and they gave the hope and lifetime learning tax rebates so that our kids can go to school. They gave us the family medical leave act and the welfare to work programs. I am voting for Barack not out of hate for the clintons – they are my peeps and always will be – but because I think he can take us to that next level because he has the ability to inspire people, I hope there will be folks like Hillary who understand policy who will help him navigate the pitfalls that come with trying to make change. To put it in corporate terms Barack is more the CEO – the visionary leaders who sets the tone, and Hillary is more the the CFO/Controller – the person who works in the trenches to make that vision come to life. I hope they will be able to reconcile after all of this is over because as a country, people, and party could use both of their strenghts.

I want to make a Statement in regards to Mr Smiley. Senator Obama is running for the President of The United States, not Tavis Smiley Black Forum. Senator Obama has KEY stops here in Texas today, with Michelle meeting Monday evening with the Princinct Captains. The visits are vital in a very heated and contested race in Texas and Ohio.

With all due respect, Tavis has to get a grip on himself, as well as his entire elitus group. I’ve had great respect for Tavis, yet those who support Mr. Obama, or those of us who are working directly within his campaign will NOT allow him to sabotage this Election for all Americans, for the sake of Mr. Smiley own personal agenda.
