kris, i’ve heard about the same comment from al sharpton about obama. sharpton and jesse never spoke for me and never will. i have family members whose parents are of african blood and other mized races-that doesn’t mean that they can’t identify with the struggle. obama doesn’t need to prove how black he is by attending the black churches, eating soul food, and going to every black event that is held in order to stroke tavis’ ego or al’s or jesse’s for that matter. i really don’t care about that. i think that it’s a way to pander off the black vote like hillary has done at the SOBU. it’s what you DO for the community to help uplift people for that matter and obama has proven that.

You know what’s crazy?…A couple of years ago a friend and I were talking about the World Wars that have happened in life, and we both talked about the next World War being a Race War. We talked about this back in 2001 when I graduated form high school…and now after 7 years I guess the truth becomes a reality. The see the next World War being a race War, and this is the starting grounds…we have got to pull together as African-Americans…for the first time on our lives we MUST fight for what we believe in, and stop allowing fear to set in our hearts to scare us away from the truth…”They” fear us…why do you think slavery even existed? Because “They” know that when we have:

-The Knowledge (which they tried to take away from us by not allowing us to have an equal education back then…),

-The Power (which they saw happen when all African-Americans all over the world were enslaved and form that experience made us the strongest race alive…look at our black men we stay in the Gym stay working out why? Because it was all we knew how to do back then and to this day is work hard…),

-The Faith (which they saw happen because when they tried to take everything away from us what did we have? Our faith that everything was going to be alright…)

And all that we lack is

-The Support from our fellow Brothers & Sisters… (Because they know that divided it don’t matter what other qualities we have…without the support to impact the change…it will never come.)
