Organizers decided to open the doors early for Obama supporters here at North Carolina State.  Having learned their candidate was the projected winner, they entered cheering “Yes we can.”

Alex, Ronke, 23, is a computer science major at the university and he was happy to hear of Obama’s victory but he wanted to see the final results.  “What I’m interested in is the percentage he wins by because it really comes down to delegates,” he told me.

The crowd is hyped and festive here at Sen. Barack Obama’s headquarters here at North Carolina State University.  The doors opened early and the space set aside for the public filled so quickly they’ve now opened up more seating in the balconies.

Lines started forming earlier this evening on the campus and organizers have decided to allow more folks into the venue.

The latest results show Obama with 47 percent of the vote to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s 53 percent with 67 percent of the precincts reporting.

It is first in our history that someone in the African American lineage is so close to winning the white House. Yet I do not see Black Entertainment Television in the fore front in this history making political season. I thought that the eseence of BET was and is to bring to the fore front the plight of the black man or the minority in a society which seems to project what ever the whiteman does as been better than what any race besides them is capable of doing. In fact, I thought BET bridged that gap or I am just in my own world. God bless

I agree D. Charles! I blame Mr. Robert Johnson the former owner of BET! He sold BET to Viacom for 3 Billion dollars! Viacom already owner halt of every other major cable networks on cable! He took the money and ran, Now Viacom has changed BET image! Now it seems that the BET shows are more ignorant then ever before! Who knows, maybe Viacom are Hillary supporters! I know Robert Johnson is! Now if that isn’t selling out I don’t know what is. BET is now worth more then it was when he sold it! Maybe he should have kept BET a little longer to make sure that BET didn’t get corrupted by the big corporation! HES A SELL OUT!

    PEACE
