The realist in me says that Obama will not ask Hillary to join the ticket. But the hopeful Democrat in me hopes he will put aside the nay-sayers and go for a TRULY courageous and ground-breaking choice. He would go down in history not only as the first African American president, but the first to include a female in the vice presidency and the first to offer his former opponent a place on the team - which is truly a way to change Washington and history. He needs her experience and depth of knowledge on policy issues.

Ahhh Shhhhucks! Obama may be the next candidate to benefit from the Ah Shucks phenomena. There was Kennedy, who was given the benefit vote for being the underdog to Nixon. He was seen as a newcomer and just a kid with possibly a good heart and a bank account to match. Another was Clinton, who was willing to go the extra mile just to get recognized, in his bid for the oval office against a president who was seen as just a stand for Reagan (Mr. Bush). Senator Obama will have this effect given his obvious differences from his opponent. This phenom may just be a determining factor. This shouldn’t be viewed as anything negative of course, just a way for voters to feel a certain personal connection with their decision.
