Bill Clinton reportedly says Obama must “kiss my a**.

Sen. Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton File PhotoBy Pamela Gentry, Senior Political Producer

June 30, 2008 – If there’s any truth to a report from the British newspaper The Telegraph, former President Bill Clinton is a long way from bumping fists with Barack Obama. In fact, the paper reports, Clinton is still so infuriated with the Illinois senator for the nastiness that surfaced during the primary campaign that he said Obama will “have to kiss his ass” to get his support for the presidency.

According to the newspaper, a friend of the former president said: “He’s been angry for a while. But everyone thought he would get over it. He hasn’t. I’ve spoken to a couple of people who he’s been in contact with and he is mad as hell. He’s saying he’s not going to reach out, that Obama has to come to him. One person told me that Bill said Obama would have to quote kiss my ass close quote, if he wants his support. “

It’s common knowledge that Clinton is still angry that Obama, a relative newcomer to national politics, defeated his wife for the Democratic nomination, and the former president blames Obama for the beating his own rep took during the primary. Many African Americans, who once revered Bill Clinton as a friend of Blacks, have since described him as racist following comments linking Obama to the Rev. Jesse Jackson and references to Obama living a “fairytale.”

Last weekend, Bill Clinton was conspicuously absent from the Unity, N.H., lovefest between Obama and the former first lady, which raised questions about the former president’s feelings about the presumed nominee.

The Telegraph source is quoted as telling the former president, “You can’t talk like that about Obama – he’s the nominee of your party, not some house boy you can order around.”

Bill and Hillary both have egomaniacal, self-serving personalities. Democratic superdelagates, such as John Kerry and Edward Kennedy endorsed Obama before the primary was decided because they, like many others, had grown tired of dealing with the selfish Clintons.

The Clintons expect fellow democrats and voters to do what they ask but do not do what fellow democrats and voters expect of them.

I have to admit that I’ve always supported Bill Clinton but his “true colors” have been brightly shining through and I am disappointed with his off-the-wall comments regarding Obama.

why you cannot respect the man for winning!i guess the whole time he was a undercover racist!

  4. LeAndrew W. Taylor on June 30th, 2008

Isn’t ‘The Telegraph’ the UK’s version of ‘The National Enquirer’?! I’m not sure! But, you can’t believe everything you hear and/or read! From a political standpoint and with his wife openly supporting Obama, it just doesn’t seem like something Bill Clinton would say.

  5. mel on June 30th, 2008

I feel that Obama is clearly the better candidate and Bill needs to just accept it and get over it.

  6. Andrea on June 30th, 2008

Well I have been watching the news a lot lately and if you ask me Bill and his wife are very racist. How can you explain throwing a party for the grand marshall of the KKK in the civil rights room of the white house while bill was in office

  7. seschris on June 30th, 2008

Bill Clinton is obviously loosing touch with reality if he thinks these childish remarks are even remotely flattering to his wife’s career. Or maybe he’s just permanently DRUNK. He sure looks it. Anyway I’ve lost all respect for him and her since they started the racist comments and changed the whole atmosphere of the campaign. I wouldn’t vote either Bill or Hillary for DOG CATCHER!!

  8. L.L on June 30th, 2008

BILL:SHOULD JUST GET OVER IT , BECAUSE THEIR IS
KNOW WAY HE IS GOING BACK TO THE WHITE HOUSE,
ON LESS IT ON A INVITE.AND HE IS MAD ,

  9. Nicole on June 30th, 2008

What is wrong with this picture? For years the black community has endorsed Bill as the closest thing we have ever had as far as a black president. I am sure many feel differently now…look at how he conducted himself during the primaries. The Clinton’s were not looking for the black vote anymore they were looking for the hispanic vote. It does not surprise me if he did make the comment about Obama kissing his behind. He should tell some of those hookers and homewreckers to kiss it. He has some nerve.

  10. Tehran Frazier on June 30th, 2008

At last, the truth about the Clintons has come to light. I’ve never trusted him or his wife Hillary. He kicked Jesse to the curb after winning the election which was an act that should have alerted Black people to his underlying racist agenda.

  11. JEWEL on June 30th, 2008

If the former president did not have enough respect for his wife and daughter lest along respect for his office as president of the United States. As stated earlier his true colors have come out, and if he made that low life state toward Senator Obama, we see what state of mine he is in.

  12. Mansur on June 30th, 2008

Man thats a shame how Bill is two faced. He shows up in Atlanta to speak at MLK church and acts like he’s happy a black man and a white women is running for president then changes his mind when Obama beats his wife that aint right.

  13. Black on June 30th, 2008

    Thats our first black president!

  14. Angelic777 on June 30th, 2008

    Shame on you Bill,
There you go again! ruining the chance for your wife. If Obama, (which I doubted) had thought of allowing Hiliary to be is VP he sure kissed his own A__ __ on that one.

All this time you had the black folk fooled, thinking you were on their side, all along you were tricking them in believing you were a kind hearted, love your neighbor whiteman, all along you were a bigot and a racist.

No more white house for your family, unless
    Chelea runs :)

  15. jen on June 30th, 2008

why does everyone just assume Clinton is a racist ? Obama is not experienced enough to be the President of the United States. that has nothing to do with his skin color.

  16. AL on June 30th, 2008

This does not seem like a joke to me, if is one. I’m not surprised that the media is still trying to bring a wedge between Obama and Clinton. Yeah, his wife got beat, and yeah, she had to eat crow and throw her support into Obama’s camp, but i don’t think the former president would be so dumb as to make such a damaging statement, especially as his wife tries to grab the Vice President nod. Folks, let’s not jump the gun yet. But if he did say it, than it’s open season on Mr. Lewinsky-Clinton!

  17. Amanda on June 30th, 2008

I wonder how “black” people think Bill Clinton is now… Bill Clinton has showed his true colors and if I were Obama I wouldn’t worry about it because he already has the support of his wife which really counts over the FORMER president’s opinion. Clinton is really digging his grave in the black community I hope he’s ready for what he’s getting himself into

  18. Kevin on June 30th, 2008

Mr. Clinton has not turned racist. He always has been. People and/or polotitions will tell you anthing that you want to hear or act anyway that you want them to act when they are trying to gain something.

Does anyone remeber the murder of Ron Brown?

  19. LWBW on June 30th, 2008

Interesting how the entitlement issues the Clintons possess have proven to be less effective as they thought–I read both B. Obama’s books and have watched his campign closely–I am a proud supporter of B. Obama’s presidency bid and believe he will continue to make history as the 1st Black US President.

  20. Vera on June 30th, 2008

I started getting cold feet early on in the campain KKK that Billary was trying to run…..when I started hearing her comments & Bill’s comments against Obama.. all the time they were under ……cover KKK. We gave Bill way to much credit for being for the blacks in his reign

    MrsVerMae!

  21. Tyrone on June 30th, 2008

    See!!!!
Now next time we should not be so eager to jump to support someone you make act, and talk black and who is not. The chicken has come to Roost

  22. tw on June 30th, 2008

The only person kissing that pasty white a** is your wife !!! And she only did it to get to run for the presidency but she got a a** whippin…. Obama need NOTHING from your whoring a** Bill. Clearly you REALLY think mighty high of yourself …BUSTED BILL !!

Bill is nothing more than Bush …don’t get it twisted …he just lies better …Bush is up frount with his hate.

  23. Kerry on June 30th, 2008

I hope Obama does not stoop to low levels to deal with these childless statements, if they are true. Lets just back Obama in November 2008, and help move this country further.

  26. M on June 30th, 2008

Tell us how you really feel Bill! Remember you were impeached, there were just other pressing things to do in the country at that time and it got pushed to the back burner. Have you lost your mind? Former President’s are supposed to have some sort of class. Shall we say TACKY????

  27. ruby on June 30th, 2008

Grow old Bill because your time has expired..

  28. Gerald on June 30th, 2008

Sounds like a lot of sour grapes to this poster. Bill needs to stop all his whining and acting like a little high-school-spoiled brat. Hillary lost, so get over it; get on board with Barack, or just keep it moving!

  29. Kerry on June 30th, 2008

Oh by the way did’nt Monica already kissed his A$$.

  30. Gina on June 30th, 2008

Bill Clinton has never been two faced. You just couldn’t see the one with the hood over it. The game of politics will NEVER change. It should be plain to see. A wise man once told me “Who you really are is who you are under pressure”. Personally, I NEVER vote a straight party ticket. My belief is you vote for the candidate that best shares your beliefs, morals, values, etc. With that, I didn’t vote for either of the Clintons….

  31. Noble Lee on June 30th, 2008

Hey, he is a politician; he might be trying “over the top” his loyalty by circumventing any harbored “misforgiving.” After all, this man did a lot of women during his reign. ‘See how much I love you dear?’

  32. Linda Harris on June 30th, 2008

Bill Clinton’s alleged remards did not surprise me. Look at the names he called that reporter. Look at the statments he and Hillary made during her campaign. Obama must trust God, and him only, and keep doing what he is doing. The Clintons PRIDE is being judged 4 all the World to see. Blacks have been duped for a long time, I thank God I am a 1st time voter at 42 yrs old. I can see thru sh#t.

  33. AAW on June 30th, 2008

I’m no fan of Clinton (never have been) but I doubt this story is true. It’s a little irresponsible for BET to report such an explosive story considering the source.

  34. cherry2000 on June 30th, 2008

Guess Bill really showed his “colors” didn’t he??? I am truly hoping that Sen Obama does NOT pick Sen. Clinton for the VP job. WHY??? Because I think that she will try and do any and everything to discredit him, and she has proven that she really isn’t trust worthy.

  35. gracefulme47 on June 30th, 2008

Bill needs to stop hating on Obama. “Kiss His Ass” He’s got Monica to do that. You would think he would have had enough attention called to his body parts. Shame on you Bill, another racist jumping out of the closet.

  36. Barbara Bowie, MD on June 30th, 2008

If this is true and these are truly Bill Clinton words, I feel extremely sad for him. If this is his attitude, he would not be an asset to Sen. Obama’s campaign and the campaign doesn’t need to embrace him at all.

  37. Queen Tiye on June 30th, 2008

Okay here we go with this mess…you have got to be kidding me…Bill is ridiculous…he and his wife’s under-handed behavior allowed black people to open their eyes to what WHITE PEOPLE really feel about us…PERIOD…they dont mess with us…look at all of our accomplishments through all the oppression and we still just can’t be as good as them. Whats the deal?…i dont f-ing get it and it pisses me off. What are we going to have to accomplish in order for them to realize…who we are and that we are a force to be reckoned with however cliche that is…it is FACT…we ARE THE TRUTH….those that were on the bottom will be on the TOP…look at us now…and we cant even enjoy this because THEY cant take this…this is what they have been afraid of…UNITY amongst the STRONG…we are strong and powers this great is overwhelming….but they better get ready because here we come…I feel like I get a chance to witness what I read about…things that MLK talked about and wanted to be an answer for people that look like him. Obama is my MLK…because I did not get to see him…I’m not saying that he is equal, less, more…I’m just coorelating his presence today to what MLK wanted in the 50’s and 60’s. I love Obama like I know him for real…you feel me…

  38. blackgirl on June 30th, 2008

Why does this have to be about race? The man is just mad and sour! He has lost a notch in his belt. Now how many times have we said the same of someone of another race and it not be about race at all!! Now if he would have said kiss his white a** it would have been a different story…Let it go.

  39. ACEY on June 30th, 2008

    WAKE UP PEOPLE

I don’t know why folks are surprise that the clintons are showing their true colors. People for many years white folks have been coming into our neighborhoods and acting like they are our best friends and just love us to death. And over and over again we buy their tired lies.

Bill Clinton doesn’t have any respect for blacks. They will say and do anything to get us to vote for them.

  40. sisro on June 30th, 2008

I never thought of Bill Clinton as our first Black President. He is really showing his true colors now,he’s acting like a child, but then again I know some children who would handle this situation better than he is.

Obama should have been prepared for this. No matter where he is or who he is (president),he will always be a black man and you can’t make it in this world ever forgetting that. Obama knows what he needs to do with or without the Clintons. His oppontent were all white and regardless who he runs against, even if it is another black person. He will always have to look over his shoulder and kiss some ass. I just hope he doesn’t kiss Clinton’s. You know it’s dirty.

  43. snurse on June 30th, 2008

You all believe everything you read and hear. This doesn’t sound credible. I hope Barrack wins this November, but yes Clinton was just as qualified. People, check your source and stop following for everything. The Clintons have done alot for minorities even before Barrack was on the scene. You can’t discredit that, besides you all need to focus your energy on McCain. Bill Clinton was a great president and a good man. You don’t have to tear the Clintons down to up lift Barrack.

It is too bad we had to come to this to really see where our country is. I am a true Obama supporter from the King City of Little Egypt Mt. Vernon, Illinois. I have had the pleasure of meeting Senator Obama early in his campaign and truly feel he is worthy of the nomination. He & Michele will make us proud. The Clintons just need to sit down and watch God work.

Well, well, as my husband has always said, WE were hookwinked, bamboozled regarding the Clintons…….. if any of this is true, it is truly a shame… it does seem like something he would say, but we have to remember, the MEDIA says and does a lot of things just to get your dander up and to keep s@@@!!going… so let’s not forget the MEDIA has been doing a pretty good job of trashing Barack also, especially FOX NEWS, Bill O’Reilly, and the likes……. just keep your eye on the prize and vote your heart and concious………. OBAMA!!!!!!!

  47. LuLu on June 30th, 2008

It is really sad in this day and time that our political leaders can not demonstrate more unity for the people. We as democrats are really suffering behind the economy and health issues. Obama is a great change for this America and much support is needed to complete the task. I hope for Bill and Hilary sake, the comment made by Bill is untrue. People may not talk but they will never forget his actions in the White House. Once the democrated campaign was over, Hilary should have pronounced her endorsement for Obama right then for the democratic party. We can not stand strong with a crack in the system. Obama has proven to be strong, intelligent, and humble candidate and I strongly pray God will keep him safe and in his care.

BARBARA BOWIE, MD is the only person whose comments i’ve read…actually appeared to have read the article on BET. the fact is….the 1st sentence of the stoy goes “If there is any truth to”…meaning this is just hearsay. at times…i read the thoughts of others…and all i see on this site…is racism running rampit. the only thing is…the one’s claiming they’re treated unequally or unfaily…are the same one’s spewing the most hate.

i don’t understand how any ethnicity can claim to want equality from every1…and then try to degrade every1 that doesn’t think the exact same way….

Know two things about me: 1) I am white, 2) I hate WJC’s ass!
The very worst thing for me about the Clintons was how they trashed Lani Guinier, Marian Wright Edelman and Dr Joycelyn Elders three very esteemed black professional women (go to the internet to read their sad stories).
Now, after saying all of the below, know too the British publication that published this story is a flashy tabloid that we all most be very careful until a legitimate journalistic source confirms this or not.
Just glory in all that Barack Obama is going to do for America’s future!

  50. Tehuti Q on June 30th, 2008

You all now see that the slavemaster syndrome is and always will be alive in america. As long as they feel superior everything is okay. But the minute you gain ground, act “uppidy”, appear to have good sense and/or knowledge - they (the ones who are really in denial about their slavemaster tendacies)feel threatened. That’s why the long time democrats can’t vote for Obama. The Clinton’s have alway been racists (”ones who can determine outcomes for a race of people”). This act is carried out by one in power and his/her supporters. Now that’s quite different from being prejudice. THIS ELECTION IS HISTORY MAKING AND FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT KNOW YOU WILL SEE HOW RACIST AMERICA REALLY IS! It’s unfortunate because the american dream is big business. But remember you must have your working class. WHAT ARE WE AS AFRICAN-AMERICAN GOING TO DO. OR SHOULD HAVE HAVE SAID BLACK, COLORED (its what by birth certicate says), NEGRO. Hopefully the box to check won’t change again. This is what I’m talking about by affecting a race of people.

  51. Softlydone on June 30th, 2008

Wow!!!! It simply amazes me that at this point folks are still too narrow-minded to accept that Mr. Obama has/will make history. As I listen to the many campaigns and hear this man (Obama) speak I have gained a new sense of respect for him and through prayer filled with hope wish that the world will listen and vote him into the White House. Mr. Obama may be inexperienced in some facet but what better way to gain the confidence of the world and experience but to adhere to the job at hand. And as I see it Mr. Obama has not taken any of the crap that has been strewn his way and buckled yet. That spells strength, integrity, perseverance and a passion for what he believes will change what has already been done. Pseudo statements as the one’s that were posted in this newspaper/magazine can be dismissed because Mr. & Mrs. Obama both came to the rescue of Hillary with a total of $4600.00 donation towards her failed and debt ridden campaign within the limits of the law… Now whose a** is really being kissed.

  52. Wendell on June 30th, 2008

I fully support Barack Obama and really never have been a big fan of the Clinton clan but Great Britain’s Telegraph is notorious for printing absurd crap. I do not believe that. If Clinton is even thinking that way he would be commiting political suicide if he ever said anything like that outside of a closed door. I just don’t believe he would be that stupid.

You have got to be kidding me. Now as far as I know the Sun is the tabloid over the big water however, I’ve not seen anything from the Telegraph stating anything to this regard. Now when information is disseminated in the form of news through a medium such as the internet, it’s BEST practice to maintain that said information is factual. Otherwise the credibility you may have had beforehand dwindles abysmally. That being said, be easy peoples until the real info comes out. Seriously, do you even think a former President or any political figure would state something like that for a NEWSPAPER? Y’all gotta THINK!!!

I got it now because it is very obvious,us black people are the ones that are destroying our race. so please stop blaming the white people,’TALKING BOUT OBAMA IS NOT EXPERIENCE ENOUGH TO BE PRESIDENT’ and please be reminded that this statement was made by a black person. A black person who states that bill is MORE BLACKER than obama.

We have to approach this story with caution. I am not sure if the story is true, and until we have confirmation of this quote as fact then we should hold off commenting to that quote. I do feel that the Clinton’s played very dirty politics and brought race into this election force Barack to defend himself time after time of racist attacks from the Clinton Campain, then they accused him of playing the race card when he was only answering his critics that brought race up.

  68. BRI on June 30th, 2008

He’s mad oh well he’ll get over eventually really there is nothing that I or anyone can do about it he can do one of three things. 1. But it wouldn’t be all that surprising if Bill Clinton did say it because he has been reacting extremely arrogant and negatively to Obama all along. Most blacks stuck by Bill throughout and after his precidency, even with all the Monica Lewinsky and impeachment baggage - when a lot of white folks were trying to cut his throat, and this is the thanks we get. I was through with him when a million Rwandans died on his watch.

  74. NURREDIN on June 30th, 2008

Bill Clinton loved us so much that he shipped all our jobs to China, and is pi**ed off that an African American defeated his wife. 400 million Chinese making $4.00 an hour love Bill Clinton. If he could have kept his d*** in his pants instead of boinking Ms. Lewinski, Al Gore would have been President and we wouldn’t be in this mess. Bill Clinton is an idiot and Hillary is opportunist for staying with him.It shows she has no self respect to be internatiionnly humiliated and still stay with Bill. They’re both just into themselves.

  76. Carlos on June 30th, 2008

Personally, I feel that this is a case of “you say, I say” — basically old fashioned “hearsay.” I don’t believe that Bill Clinton would make a statement like this to anyone. Why would he want to lessen his wife’s chances for the VP position? I’m a strong believer that the truth will surface. Confirmation is pending.

FIRST OF ALL I WILL NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THIS UNTIL I SEE IT ON THE AMERICAN TV NEWS. SEEMS LIKE A BUNCH OF BULL ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT HILLARY JUST ENDORSED HIM AT SOME RALLY LAST WEEK. SO BASICALLY I WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE BRITISH MEDIA SAYS. SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE SOME NATIONAL ENQUIRER BS!

Seriously though, screw Bill Clinton. This isn’t about him or his wife. It’s about ending this WAR and save more American lives, not to mention American taxpayer dollars. I am amazed at the sheer ignorance of Americans about how their hard earned money is going to support the bloodshed in Iraq. Enough is enough.

  81. jazzpro101 on June 30th, 2008

If former President Clinton’s rumored remark that Senator Obama would have to “kiss his a**” to get his support is true, then as a democrat, taking race out of the equation for a moment, as a democrat I am truly disappointed.

Now, I understand the former President out on the trail campaigning for his wife as any man is his position would do. Politics as we all know can be downright nasty when you’re running for office. But in this world of electronic media, we have to take a close look not so much to the candidates but the spin doctors, bloggers, the underlings if you will.
It seems as if the media was trying to pick who the next president should be. The washington print media, op-head page columnists who for some apparent reason despised Hillary because of the former president.
I’ve had the opportunity of speaking with the former president on radio and I have a great deal of respect for him as a former president. But from my perspective, his legacy has been tarnished a bit, for some gaffs and comments made that even deep down inside he knows he shouldn’t have made.
However, his legacy not beyond repair. He’s still got some wounds he needs to heal, and eventually he will for he is a master strategist whom the republican party fears most.
This is not the time for the democratic party to show weakness that gives the republicans ammunition to counter.

Now, the democrats control of congress is another story, starting with the Speaker of the House on down but that’s something else that needs to be internally addressed.

Senator Clinton has earned my respect for her courageous showing especially in the waining weeks of her campaign as she blazed a trail for all women regardless of race and sent a clear message to the “good ol’ boy party” that a woman can become president. I think her husband could learn a valuable lesson.

I never thought in my lifetime I would see an african-american and a woman vie for the right to be the democratic nominee for President of the United States.

But now that the presumptive nominee is “The democratically elected nominee for the Office of President of The United States of America”, We as democrats (Former President Clinton included) will win the White House in January.

  82. Jan Jan on June 30th, 2008

I truly hope the Bill Clinton did not say what is being printed. Who relaly knows the hearts and minds of individuals, in politics you say what you need to say to get over. I watched the primaries carefully and it seems as thou Bill Clinton hurt Hillary in so many ways with his mouth, a man who was so very postive and careful when he was in any office, I do not buy the slip of the tongue bit. You see, there are several reports of Clinton womanizing again. He has fallen from grace and has allowed his own bitterness and selfishness to fall prey to his wife and her campaign and now he is going after Obama. We as black people who want to see Obama or a democrat (if you were a Hillary suopporter) need to start to help in everyway posssible for this first time history making black man to be elected. Forget the rumors, the gossip, get out and advocate for Obama to run in whatever way possible, start by talking to the blacks, latinos community who support Hillary that it is imperative that democract party due major damage thru out the nation in November, starting with Obama for president, congress people, local elections. Think postive/not negative, pray.

  83. James White on June 30th, 2008

This story originally broke on Fox News, so you kind of have to take with a grain of salt. Bill is still mad at Barack Obama for smashing them in the primaries, so I won’t put it pas him. If this story is true than it shows his true colors. all I can say is I would love to hear the transcript of the interview. If this is true this is the reason Hillary can’t be the VP. I don’t believe the Clintons’ can be trusted.

  84. Patsy M. on June 30th, 2008

I think that Bill Clinton is trying to take the focus off him, from his cheating on Hilary. Everybody know’s that he his a CHEATER, so man up and stop being a little sissy.

  85. Candice on June 30th, 2008

I never understood why my own people would call Bill Clinton the “black president”…He might have an office here in harlem but that doesn’t make him black…I think that now people are seeing Bill Clinton for who he really is…I wish my people would focus on the important parts of this election…I know people that are voting for Barack just because he’s black like they are..All I need to know is if a candidate has values and if they are on the same page as me..I don’t care if they are black like me or not…People are not paying attention as they should..My beliefs are very very important to me..and as long as the candidate has the same beliefs as I do..then I am fine…I feel that Bill should of stayed in his place and kept his mouth shut..Bill Clinton wasn’t running this time, his wife was..and for some reason he didn’t let her take the lead as she was supposed to..

  86. cc on June 30th, 2008

Being from Arkansas I can tell you that Mr. Clinton related and hung with people of color because he knew that people of color could make things happen. This is his fear. He feels as if we have let him down by voting for a MAN of COLOR instead of his wife. He wants to get back into the White House and he cant be re-elected there but his wife can. Go figure Clinton. America is tired of Clintons and Bushes. Its time for a change for the future of America

My opinion- Obama should not select Hillary for VP. We really need someone with a strong head & heart to assist Obama in office. Not someone that’s making suggestions of the past(Kennedy being murder). Therefore, Obama would have to watch his every move even in the white house. Well if he becomes the president- I pray to GOD, the LORD will have his back. Because he’s going to need security on top of security- secret service that’s secret to the secret service. Now you can really see the hatred in these folks eyes.

  90. Shon on June 30th, 2008

While were thinking & talking about Obama & Hillary, the “INSURECTION ACT” is what we need to truely be worried about. Obama may not even get a chance to be in the White House. Hillary is seasoned & experianced to the games of these politics. Obama is fresh & not tainted yet, however the beat he will be danceing to is the drum beat of Satan !! I just hope he does not get off beat. . . if he does get the job as president. As for Bill like all dogs, they all bite.

  91. Confused? on June 30th, 2008

I thought this was about Obama. Hilliary’s, being the second runner up, opinion is the only one that matters. I could care less about What Bill Clinton says. Isn’t he getting to that “C-Nile” age anyway? I thought most people believed that Hillary was running the White House when he was in office anyway. Is Bill Clinton running? No! So he can say whatever he likes. His opinion does not dictate the american votes. We Do! Give me some news that will acutally benefit me! Like an active plan to solve an issue!

  92. Candice on June 30th, 2008

One of the things that I am ashamed of is how much of a follower my people are..There are not enough leaders in the black community…and I do agree with the person that said that we are destroying our own people..This is the thing..I was never the one to say that Bill Clinton was our first black president..because I am not a follower..lol..Why can’t we lead ourselves? Our community lacks individuality..and that is a very big shame..I bet someone is going to come up after me and say “well look at us pointing the fingers at our own people”..If we are going to talk about our people dealing with society then we need to deal with our mistakes first…Why are so many young boys not making it to the age of 18?..So many of us are killing our own…No one needs to say “because of the white man”..Puleeze…

  93. lowl on June 30th, 2008

These so called grown folks need to grow up and stop acting like children. Everything is not all about them. Main goal, get our country back in shape. I think Sen. Obama will make a mighty fine president. I am not voting for him because he is black, it’s because he is the right choice.

  94. Sharing on June 30th, 2008

Sounds like have these people on here obviously do not know what goes on in the nation or even in their own backyards. If any of you watch the news you guys would know that Hilary Clinton did in fact endorsed Obama at the rally last week. So wouldn’t one think that just maybe they are behind Obama. FYI the Telegraph is exactly like the National Inquirer, its nothing but bullsh*t garbage. Before people go around posting what they know based on gossip, maybe they should get their facts str8 you know do a little researcch before they sound just as ignorant as the next.

  96. J.D. on June 30th, 2008

I don’t expect Obama to reach out to Bill. Clinton is the reason his wife loss the Democratic Party nomination, not Obama. If he had kept his mouth shut Hillary would not have lost the majority of her black supporters. Don’t hate the player, you know the rest.

Let’s try to be open-minded… it’s hard to believe Clinton would make such a damaging statement. Words are powerful! Remember, Republicans do not want Obama to win. This could be a “PLOT” to discredit the possibility of an Obama/Clinton ticket. Think about it…. It appears Bill has been acting a little strange lately, but I would like to think he is wiser than that.

  108. DC on June 30th, 2008

    Hello Black Brothers and Sisters,

I just want to address a few things because I don’t want anyone of us to walk away feeling hatred and bitterness:

I don’t think Bill said this and if he did it is somewhat understandable. Now don’t get me wrong I am not say its right, I am saying I can understand. As many of you have pointed out both Bill and Hillary are power hungry, and will stop short of killing to get it. So, as passionate as he is (most of us) he is hurt and cut to the quick. In his mind we (blacks) should have stood by his (Hillary’s) side and voted for his wife. He is not only angry; he is hurt and feels betrayed. Not only is he hurt for himself, he is hurt for his beloved wife too. Yes he is a cheat and man tramp, but most men are (I said most), but he still loves his wife. So, allow him to vent and be hurt and angry with out throwing him and Hillary under the bus. While Hillary is also very selfish and mean in many ways; I am very proud of her for not dragging out her hurt pride. Side note: The speech she gave the night Obama declared he was the winner and is the democratic nominee was perfect and right on time. She knew that she was herself dealing with closet racist and had to sooth there white pride. If she would have conceded that night, there would have been no way to bring the party together; but now there is a real chance. In spite of all the hateful things that have been said about her she has come through like pure gold (Hat’s of to you Hillary). Both Bill and Hillary are like brother and sister to black people. We can talk bad and treat each other like dirt, but let someone else do it and its going to be hell to pay; right? Bill and Hillary are no more racist then you and I (which makes them 10% racist). So black people don’t trash Bill or Hillary because they are working through this the best they know how. Because Barrack is a black man its so easy to go that route and scream racism, but don’t let the other party win and divided us. B. Obama is no fool he knows he will need Bill and Hillary to pull of being the 1st black president and to his credit he is moving beyond all the crap that means nothing like this article. His eyes are set on a higher calling. Also let’s not forget that it was not only blacks that put B. Obama were he is. There are millions of white and Hispanic supports of my man B. Obama, so let’s be sensitive to there feelings too. What a wonderful time to be a live when we can have this kind of dialog. Please everyone black understand that the other party is going to do all they can to stop this “CHANGE” from happening. Don’t let bitterness and misunderstanding suck you in.

P.S. When you think about it is kind of funny. I can hear Bill saying “he gonna have to kiss my a$$ before I help him. Now truly that is a statement only a black man can make…LOL

I loved Bill Clinton he was a good president. But I lost respect for his wife when she decided to keep him. She showed the world that it’s ok for a man or women to cheat. For that, I lost respect for the both of them. When Mr. Barack Obama one the election, I was so proud of him, our people and this nation. He will bring about a change. I see and angel over him. His smile is a smile of peace and trust. So what ever the Clinton’s want to say about him….IT JUST DON’T MATTER. God Bless you Barack Obama and your family. And love to all the people in this country how loves and respect him and knows he will make a change for ALL people. God Bless.

  117. PJ on June 30th, 2008

Jen, just like the typical nigger. Think the white man is better than the blACK.Just how much experience do you think one needs to be president? The ability to get an erection at a seconds notice or the ability to rip off the poor and keep the rich rich. Any jack ass can do that.

  118. Sherae on June 30th, 2008

Though I’m uphauled with the Clintons’ behavior but I do not support everything that Obama is putting on the table. Granted the rich is getting richer and the poor is poor but we need to emancipate our selves from mental slavery and make our own money vice rely on others to pay high taxes so that we can be equal. That will never work and it will only make the lazy ass people on welfare etc.. stay on such. I believe that I work hard to be where I’m at and I do not support an increase in tax because others fail to work as hard as I do. Reality is that society is racially inclined and half the people that will vote will probably never listen to what the candidates are saying. Additionally, I do not believe that 1 term in the “White house” will make a difference, I’m tired of empty promises.

  119. Greg on June 30th, 2008

Why is this a shock? You, the media, and black dubbed him as the first black president. He is a politician. He solicitated and entertained to have your support. He is not angry at the fact that his wife got beat, he is upset because he thought he had the Black vote sewn up. Now or PRETTY soon he will not be known as the “first Black president”. He will just be William Jefferson Clinton former President.

Hillary Clinton knows how to take criticism just as much as she knows how to talk trash and dish it out. She is definately no saint or stranger to that sort of thing. Hillary is use to taking crap. The Republicans went after them and said a lot worse things about both Bill and Hillary and tried to indict both of them on Federal charges (remember White Water). Bill, the adultery expert, ought to for once in his life get mad @ himself (not Obama) for all the dumb and arrogant things he did to insult and embarrass his wife. Who is he to talk! Obama will win the nomination, and for the sake of the Democratic Party, the protocol is that the democratic competition is supposed to suck it up and join in the fight for Obama to win the White House.

  123. JM on June 30th, 2008

I GUESS BILL CLINTON IS NOT THE PERSON WE THOUGHT HE WAS. STRANGE THING IS I WOULD EXPECT HIS WIFE TO MAKE A STATEMENT LIKE THAT BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER TRUSTED HER EVEN WHEN SHE WAS THE FIRST LADY. BUT BILL SHOULD HAVE BEEN TELLING MONICA THAT WHEN SHE WAS GIVING HIM ORAL SEX. I REALLY DON’T TRUST THE CLINTONS BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN CAUGHT IN TOO MANY SCANDALS AND THEY ARE KNOWN FOR DOING SOME NASTY THINGS WHEN THINGS DON’T GO THEIR WAY. ALL I CAN SUGGEST TO OBAMA IS IF HE DON’T LET HILARY RUN AS HIS VICE PRESIDENT THAT HE BETTER BEEF UP HIS SECURITY. I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SECRET SERVICE EITHER. I WOULD HAVE MY OWN HAND PICKED SECURITY.

  128. dadpasadena on June 30th, 2008

Should anyone be surprised?! The Clinton’s were over-rated from the beginning. The Media fell hard and fast calling Bill Clinton the most brilliant politician of his day. Well, so much for the B.S. People love being charmed and Bill was a charmer, until lately. This election has become a very revealing episode. Things have been turned on end and the Clintons are no exception. For the first time, unfortunately, the American people are getting a taste of the real Clintons and their operation. They got away with so much, they thought they were infallible. Well, what a surprise! The truth be known…arrogance always meets it’s match. How ironic it happened to be the black candidate; and a shrewed one at that. The Clintons thought they were unbeatable. Surprise! Now all the ugliness is coming forth. Be sure your sins will find you out. Its about time.

    And Jen:

Look what EXPERIENCE has gotten us! Since Abraham Lincoln who is revered as the finest President EVER also had NO experience……my bets are that Obama WILL DO AN EXCELLENT JOB!! In fact, I bet that Obama will exceed every expectation!!!!!

WELL I DONT KNOW WHETHER OR NOT WHAT THEY SAID BUT IT WOULDNT SURPRISE ME ONE BIT, BUT THEY BETTER SUPPORT OBAMA OR HER POLITICAL CAREER WILL BE OVER, IF HE DOESNT WIN THEY WILL SAY ITS BECAUSE HE HAD TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME FIGHTING HILLARY THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WILL NEVER FORGIVE HER……………………………

  135. Smitty60 on June 30th, 2008

NOT SAYING THAT SLICK WILLIE NOT CAPABLE BUT I DON’T BELIEVE HE SAID THIS STATEMENT. IF TRUE, IT WOULD BE OVER EVERY MAJOR NEWS OUTLET. BELIEVE NOT YOU HEAR ANY ONLY HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE.

  136. Scotty on June 30th, 2008

During an election year many things will be said by all sides, some good and some bad, but the sad part of it all is how you judge others when 90 percent of all these comments are filled with hatred. Maybe you should be judged for what you have said. It’s too bad you all are not in politics so these statements could come back to haunt you. When you allow something someone said or didn’t say spawn hatred in you, then you are less than the person you are steaming at. It looks like a lot of hater responding to the comment, true or not. I’m glad none of you are running for president, I sure wouldn’t vote for you, Black or White. All of you must remember what you do today, will meet you up the road tomorrow. Be careful how you talk about others, someone just might start talking about you.

  137. D. Alexander on June 30th, 2008

IF Bill Clinton feels that way, Barack better watch his back because snakes are snakes and they are very sneaky and cunning! It would not surprise me IF these statements were made because of the derogatory things that Bill said about Barack during the campaign.

WATCH OUT! As they say, a zebra never changes it’s stripes and take heed Obama, Hillary IS HIS WIFE! Be who you are, but be CAREFUL before giving any thought to having her as your VP, it equals TROUBLE.

Listen to the words of former President Jimmy Carter, “If he makes Hillary his VP, it would be the WORST mistake he ever made.”

God bless you and keep you and your family!

if the report is true, i am disappointed in the honorable President Clinton. i had much respect for his administration in spite of the scandals. i held closely his commitment to don’t ask , don’t tell, or pursue as groundbreaking, but my feelings towards him beginning to turn negative. i hope he can “man up” and be supportive to the cause.

  140. LaTonya Powell on July 1st, 2008

At first I was straddle the fence, so to speak, between Senator Obama and Senator Clinton but one foot was touching the ground on Obama’s side of the fence. It wasn’t long before I found myself on Obama’s’ side after reading his last book and watching him in action in the beginning of the primaries… No one can take away the fact that he is very well educated, his voice and diction is impeccable. He’s a College graduate and an Attorney all of the same qualifications that Hillary possess and they both are Senators. Hillary was Bill’s wife before that. Therefore when people say that Senator Obama doesn’t have the experience to be President, exactly what are they referring to as far as experience is concerned? “Blackgirl” on June 30th, 2008 asked why does this have to be about race? If you have to ask that question, you are not in tune with history! How many Black or Hispanic Presidents of the USA can you name? kudos, to BET for breaking this story because too many Blacks and Hispanics have their heads in the sand, therefore can’t see the light. When I saw that Bill and the senior George Bush had become bosom buddies, I realized the sham Bill Clinton had pulled on Blacks and other minorities when he ran for President. Things done in the dark will come to the light eventually! For those who can remember when the National Enquirer reported that Sony and Cher was getting a divorce everyone, including them denied it. Eventually they did indeed get divorced, therefore many stories that are broken by so called “RAG” news papers are many times correct.

  141. Clifford Edmondson Jr on July 1st, 2008

Bill Clinton is a rasies mother F***er. And that’s why his wife lost to Obama, but even if he was not rasies his wife would have still lost to Obama. By the way Obama dont need him to win pepole love Obama

  142. watson on July 1st, 2008

    Bill

Go home to Arkansas. Face it - Blacks came out and supported Obama because we finally had a candidate that went far enough to stay the course. When you ran you were the lesser of two evils. And now that you’ve lost… oops I mean your wife lost… ya’ll need to go to the back of the train… we’re conducting this train now!!

  143. tari on July 1st, 2008

You can’t believe everything you read. There was an article out saying Bill volunteered to campaign for Obama but there wasn’t a lot of press on that. Do you think if this was true that Obama would have still have come out of pocket to help Hillary with her campaign debt?
Let us be independent thinkers not like sheep led to the slaughter. It is time for a change where we all think for ourselves not just follow whatever the latest buzz is.

  144. sharita on July 1st, 2008

This one is for Jen girl please experience? if you will take a closer look at our economy you will see what “experience” has gotten us, high gas prices, a never ending war, hunger right here in our own free country, no insurance need I go on? job loss , either you don’t read the news paper or watch t.v. the “white” man has screwed it up bad for America, now it’s time to let a real leader in the office and show all of you naysayers how it’s really supposed to be done, and one more thing, Bill Clinton should’ve had enough of getting his d$#k sucked now he wants his ass kissed too? and you want this person “back in the white house? girl bye!

  145. chitown2 on July 1st, 2008

If Bill Clinton said this, it does not deserve a reply. There are always going to be rocks thrown at Obama, but he don’t need to throw them back. Knowing him, he will ignore this crap! Why are people even feeding into this crap! The main focus here is to make sure that Obama wins the election for President. Nothing Bill Clinton says even counts unless he says he is giving his support to Obama!

  146. JOHN BELL on July 1st, 2008

  151. Michael on July 1st, 2008

If Senator Obama made a statement like that, the american press would be all over it.
Why do we have to tolerate all sorts of insults coupled with these double standards? And if we respond in (defense of ourselves, and nobody else) anyway form or fashion still come up showing some type of flaw in our character!?
    F —K THAT!
Let’s tell it like it is.
And when they(all) make statements like that, lets hold them accountable and not let them forget!
They make us walk a tightrope, as it is!
Former President Clinton would say something like that because he knows the american press would let him slide on it; without repremind. Why? Because he’s white!
He can run around 125st. in Harlem like Tarzan in his boxer shorts and nothing would be said about it..But let Senator Obama come out the house in the wrong suit and it’s a flaw in his character unacceptable for someone running for the office of President of the United States and fundamentally incorrect politically, as well!?
    F—K THAT TWO!
The real sad part is we’re talking about two grown men in the same political party; not a bipartisan squabble between two cats running for same position; or are they?????
    DEAR GOD,
If Senator Obama gets to be President of the United States Of America, Please keep him safe and don’t let these DEVILS get the best of him AMEN!

  152. budday on July 1st, 2008

one thing about black folk and christian folk, we have the ability to turn on one another in a moments notice…..black america turned on the clinton’s like we do, forgetting that bill did more for us than any president since johnson signed the civil rights bill…..even kennedy whom black folk also love could have been questioned about some of his positions…….and i must admit the first time i heard obama’s name the first thing i thought of was jesse jackson but he has stayed hidden during all of this……when jesse did what he did to his wife i lost all respect for him at that moment and evidently his daughter will have to live a miserable life because of him……where is she don’t here anything about her and guess what it wasn’t her fault………..i’m black and was pulling for hillary because i think any job especially the presidency requires a lot of experience………..obama doesn’t have that i will vote for him because i’m black……..but with the ability of bill clinton and hillary for all they had to put up with during there eight years in the white house……it was all about litigation and the powers that be ostracizing him because of his kindnesses towards black folk…..even with that america prospered during his years………but black folk and christians soon forget those things……….leave bill and hillary alone and support obama……with that said being a former military man……i must admit i do have a lot of respect for john mccain because he is a badddddddddd boy to surive what he did………….some of the things that he went through probably would have broke bill clinton, barrack and jesse…………peace oh yes and i’m sure bush…………just think of it his legacy was so bad that america considered putting a woman or a black man in the white house because of the mess that he has made……….wf3

  157. Penny on July 1st, 2008

Tell me, has ANY legit, unbiased source come forward and said that they ACTUALLY heard Bill say these words? People wake up!!! We are living in a world that could care less about what they put out into the media, they just want the ratings and the dollars. As a mother I have always taught my children not to believe everything that they hear. How many of us have said things and have someone turn around and TWIST the words around? Please don’t feed into others (the media, society) IGNORANCE!!!

  158. Mz Tina Dee on July 1st, 2008

So…does this mean that the Clintons are not going to accept the 10 million $$$ that Obama is going to give them to clear some of their debt? I would stop payment on that check!!!

  159. P.J. on July 1st, 2008

So many of the responses are quick to charge rascism. Personally, I detest both Bil;l and Hillary Clinton. They never fooled me and they never will.
As for the first black president, I hope that it is not Senator Obama.
If you can convince me that higher taxes, liberal hypocracy and being under the thumb of the UN is the answer, I’m willing to listen.
Since I don’t follow the script of the “Who cares who gets elected as long as it’s a Democrat,” I doubt that these comments will be posted.

  160. M. J on July 1st, 2008

Whether Clinton said it or not - Obama will have to kiss the Clintons’ booty and probably a whole lot more.

All that talk years ago, when Clinton was in office, about him being the 1st “black” president was BS. I never agreed with that saying and always knew it would take a good black candidate(whether mixed or not) to show the Clintons’ true color. The Clintons’ behavior have not surprised me. If it wasn’t for my senses, I’d be voting for McCain.

One more thing…No way should Hillary be running for VP - She can’t be trusted!

  161. will on July 1st, 2008

does bill really think he matters anymore? he needs to devote his energy to other third world matters for instance.hillary is now more influential bill is irrelevant, and now that his wife dint get the nomination its time up for him.she stayed with him cause she thought she might need for the races.now she actually loves obama more than shse love him.bills needs to shut up and try and catch the next ship.remember obama is a lot smarter than his racist ass could ever farthom.

  162. PBrown on July 1st, 2008

We know how the media can be. Don’t believe everything you hear, and half of what you see. Could be true or not, if so, it is Bill’s lost, and Obama’s gain.

  163. wendell on July 1st, 2008

B E T. How can you stoop so low to start a mess like this? That newspaper is not even a true periodical. Star-Enquirer-Pure Gossh#t. You should know better. Fire this person who even thoght to put this online.

  164. PBrown on July 1st, 2008

Just a little bit on history. Obama will not be our first black president, he would be our eighth black president, if elected. If in doubt ckeck it out. But, one thing he could hold in history, and that is being the youngest president elected in history.

By the way, do you think there may be a lot of haters, not only because he black, but, also because of his youth? Think about it!!!
