CHICAGO (July 25, 2008) – Sen. Barack Obama had better not believe the hype and Black folks better realize that the 2008 election will only deliver a victory for Obama if they show up at the polls.
Fox News released the results of poll on Thursday showing that most people believe 
Obama will win the presidential election in November over Republican nominee John McCain.
Fifty-one percent believed Obama will win the election compared to only 27 percent who thought McCain will be the next commander in chief.
Many people think this is good news for a campaign, but it isn’t. If Obama’s supporters start thinking their candidate is a shoe-in, they might stay home.
The survey discovered that registered Democrats are more confident than registered Republicans about their candidate’s chances of winning. Seventy-one percent of Democrats think Obama will win Nov. 4, while 51 percent of Republicans believe McCain will be the victor.
This could be a problem for Obama. While some see Obama as the winner, national polls indicate the race is a statistical dead heat.
The Fox News poll also found that Obama leads McCain 41 percent to 40 percent among registered voters. Obama has managed to lead McCain by 40 percent to 37 percent as the preferred presidential candidate,
But that’s not all. Another poll released Thursday by Quinnipiac University Polling Institute showed McCain had cut Obama’s lead in the key battleground states of Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, and that he has overtaken Obama in voter support in Colorado.
The Obama campaign is going to have convince supporters to keep their enthusiasm high, increase voter turnout and overshadow the media hype proclaiming Obama an early victor.

By making inroads in the West, Obama also hopes to build a hedge in case he loses states where he struggled in the primaries. Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado have 19 eletoral votes among them - just one fewer swing-state Ohio.
The Obama campaign also says a strong showing in Texas and Wyomng could influence other races and boost Democrats’ control of Congress.
Obama needs a strategy that wins Michigan and Pennsylvania. Also, Obama needs to win Nevada, and either Colorado or Virginia, to lock up the presidency.

I believe that Obama is doing the country well. We can not have it both ways. We can not say on the War of Terror we need our allies, yet do not have that secure relationship with our allies. We can not say Obama is not Presidential, yet when he appears to be so, it is a detriment. Bottomline, what is the difinition of Insanity? The definition of Insanity is when you continue to do the same the thing that does not work, and expect a different result. We have a chance to step out of the norm. Whether you like his politics or not, Obama brings something refreshing to America and the World. Moreover, economically when 3 Trillion dollars of our Debt Notes is being held by our partners Overseas, over 70% of our Oil is being imported Overseas, it seems only in the best interest that we find a President who demonstrate he forge partnerships with those who govern OverSeas. Its a clear choice.
Globalism is not being dictated by Obama, it is being dictated in the Corporate World we live in. Obama has just been able to capture the concept and transform it to something where America can reposition itself like we were in days of Kennedy and Reagan. Despite your politics these men had the World’s attention and respect, Obama this week demonstrated he can muster the same.
Moreover Globalism is the continuous evolution of capitalism. We must as Americans have to learn how to shape it that the new global economic synergy in ways that it can be use most benefical for the American economy. For instance, The Internet, is it local or global? Majority of those whom with whom we interact with,including BET, are employed by Global organizations or firms that do business globally, not regional or just a purely US one. It is the World,like it or not now we live in. Instead of fighting what we see as a Post Industrial age disaster, we as Americans need to see how can better position ourselves in this Global Economy. Our children are not just competing with our local communities, yet with children all over the world. In jobs being placed in Bangalore not just Boston. Competing for shrinking jobs that are becoming more and more virtually based over the World. We need a President that sees that Global perspective. Not to shrink America, yet allowing America to be even more competitive in this 21st Century landscape. So as America goes, so goes the World flow. Obama is demonstrating this ability that can translate to real results. Anyone who has travel any abroad sees that as a true, if only in its conceptual form.

Let me tell you that I have reevaluated all federal holidays and these are some of the conclusions that I have about them.
I would get rid of Columbus Day. That admission does not make me against Christopher Columbus.
I would get rid of Labor Day. That does not mean I am against laborers because I am one myself.
I have even reevaluated the most celebrated and honored of all federal holidays, Christmas. And I am a bible-believing spirit-filled Pentecostal that firmly accepts Christ as my lord and savior.

Let me tell you that I have reevaluated all federal holidays and these are some of the conclusions that I have about them.
I would get rid of Columbus Day. That admission does not make me against Christopher Columbus.
I would get rid of Labor Day. That does not mean I am against laborers because I am one myself.
I have even reevaluated the most celebrated and honored of all federal holidays, Christmas. And I am a bible-believing spirit-filled Pentecostal that firmly accepts Christ as my lord and savior.

Senator McCain surrogates have been saying on Fox News Network, HLN (Glen Beck show), but they have clearly made this election about race, religion and Senator Obama’s “lack” of patriotism. As a matter of fact, there are web sites and books that specifically target Senator Obama’s race, patriotism and religious belief. Let’s not forget the swift boaters who will reinforce these negative attacks. Senator McCain surrogates often mention Senator Obama’s middle (Hussein) name to make people believe he is a Muslim, although he has adamantly say he is a Christian. In June, McCain approved an ad which asked “what will he change next” and added Senator Obama’s face to the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore and the hundred dollar bill. This is exactly what Obama was referring to, which is the GOP will use scare tactics to make people believe he will change America for all the wrong reasons. I don’t believe McCain is racist, but if he did not want to inject race as part of his strategy, why did he approve of this ad.

However, there was no mention of race in that ad.
It was making light of Obama’s change theme.
