Obama’s Administration is flavored with Clinton Juice

Dec. 1, 2008 – Later today, when President-Elect Barack Obama nominates Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) as secretary of State, he will add the biggest name in the former Clinton administration to a laundry list of others now on his team.
There was always speculation Obama would need to find a high-profile respectable post for his former rival in exchange for her endorsement and campaigning for him in key states following the Democratic Convention, so today’s announcement is almost anticlimactic.
But when looking at the names of those tapped, or about to be tapped, for top posts you can’t help but notice a developing theme: the “Clinton Connection.”
With roughly 28 folks getting the nod (officially and unofficially) from the Obama camp, most have links to the Clinton administration – or deep ties inside the Chicago political machine.
While their isn’t anything different or new about a president bringing folks from home or from a previous administration, for Obama it seems to counter his message of bringing “change” to Washington, because a lot of these picks are already here.
It’s early in his presidential picks, but he may want to cast a wider net. The blogosphere is getting discouraged that he appears to be picking from the same batch of folks inside the beltway.
Obama was elected with the support of a slew of political neophytes, so these decisions might need to be explained to those folks who worked so tirelessly on his campaign.
That’s seems to be the consensus re. It’s a great idea for the Obama Web site to have a posting for folks to apply for jobs in the administration, it appears transparent, but when every other appointment has a Clinton or Chicago tie – a novice to the process could become spectacle.
Some appointments are two-fers. For example Obama’s chief of staff, Rep. Rahm Emanuel is an Illinois congressman and a former senior adviser to President Clinton.
Here’s just a few of the others on the list:
Mona Messina – Deputy chief of staff in the Clinton administration
Ellen Moran – White House director of communications on Clinton’s Inaugural team
Greg Craig – White House counsel, who defended Clinton against impeachment
Timothy Geithner – Secretary of the Treasury, who served at the Treasury Department under Clinton
Gov. Bill Richardson (N.M.) – (U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the Clinton administration
David Axelrod – Senior adviser to the President Clinton with ties to Hillary Clinton through his wife’s work on behalf of the Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy
Eric Holder – U.S. attorney general, who was deputy attorney general during the Clinton administration
Gov. Janet Napolitano – Secretary of Homeland Security, who was an appointee of Clinton’s as U.S. attorney for the District of Arizona
Peter R. Orszag – Director of the Office of Management and Budget, who was economic adviser during the Clinton administration
Rob Nabors – Deputy director of Office of Management and Budget, who was senior adviser in the Office of Management and Budget in the Clinton administration.
The Hillary Clinton appointment will make the junior New York senator the lead anchor of the newly formed national security team. She’ll be joined by Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, who will stay in place at the Pentagon for two years, along with the added appointment of Gen. James L. Jones, a retired Marine commandant, as national security adviser.
The appointment process isn’t an easy one, so we’ll have to see if a wider net is cast in the coming weeks.
I wait each and every day for the news of appointments from the President-Elect. I am waiting to see who goes where; and I have especially been waiting to see where Susan Rice will go. I found out today and I was not too happy until Pres.elect Obama said that the UN Ambassador would be a part of his cabinet. Eric Holder, the first Black America Attorney General was very dear to my heart and I await even more goodies. It seems to be driving many of the supporters crazy that he is including Clinton in the admin as well as some others, but Pres/elet Obama showed me a thing or two when he ran. I certainly thought that he would be clobbered a few times, but he did it his way and he won. I am just waiting and watching, because, contrary to some belief, this is going to work in a great way as well.
Let the man do his thing! Trust and believe. Stop second guessing and dissecting his every breath.
That show was so funny I could not stop laughing, and that was called a press conference, when obama in all his wisdom and the joke team are done with america they are going to have to call in the A-TEAM to help AMERICA , and the terrorists will not like that, and all the other problems america is going to face.

OBAMA IS ABOUT DIVERSITY AND THE FOLKS THAT ARE AGAINST THAT ARE THE RACIST OLE BOY AMERICANS THAT VOTED AGAINT HIM AND ARE MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE LEAD BY THAT HOUSE NEGRO ALAN KEYES.

It looks like all the black Clinton fans are happy. Of course, they are the only Democrats (besides Obama/Biden) that have done things for the community and care about Black America, so people like winners. It’s ok. Every other Democrat who name isn’t Clinton will be criminally marginalized and ignored.
Not second guessing Obama/Biden but there are other Democrats that never get credit or respect due from the Black people. Only to be overshadowed by the Clintons.

Another thing to remember: Obama has to sign off on all decisions made.
He will still be chief. If not Obama’s selections, then the critics out there, whom would you have selected. Do you select the fox or the wolf.
Let us give Obama a chance to prove himself worthy, we are stoning the man before he is sworn in. There are folks out there trying their damest from keeping that from happening on 1/20. Word on U-Tube we are going to end up in Communist Camps an the Bush Adm is going to stay in
Bush is going to create another 911 and declare us under Marshall Law.
So let the plan of GOD work. Regardless what man is planning.
Obama can never do a worse job as the Bush Administration
It’s amazing how people are scrutinizing his every decision BEFORE he gets into office, but we didn’t take the time to scrutinize any of Bush’s decisions BEFORE or even WHILE he is in office. Obama can’t do any worse than him! Let’s face it, he won not because he followed our “infinite blogging advice” and since no one here, I’m guessing, has ever run a country, let’s let the man do his thing! If you all will remember, this is a democratic year, and the last democrat in office was…CLINTON! And during Clinton’s reign, things were MUCH better! So, what if he chooses to use some of the people from the Clinton administration? That’s his choice! And he seems to be picking the cream of the crop of them. So, let the man do his thing. We all are talking about change and all, none of us believed a Black man could win the presidency…he proved us wrong….so let’s just wait and see. I know we all here are political geniuses and all, but let’s give the guy a chance!
SHUT UP PAMELA!!! the CHANGE is A AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN that will be the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATE’S OF AMERICA!!! and since when did black people become political, since when did black people care about what person a WHITE PRESIDENT had in his CABINET! since when did we care about the WORD CHANGE! since when did BLACK people complain and march, against the injustice of a war! we sit back and allowed our black men and women go to war, and we did’nt mumble a word. so when a BIRACIAL BLACK MAN step’s up to the plate and say’s the word “CHANGE we want him to speak in a practical term, we want this black man to be a common every day politician, well thank GOD he is not, this is a BRILLIANT MAN, and trust me every thing he will do in the future, will be because he think’s before he leap’s, why do you think he is the first BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATE’S.
We just need to pray for each and every person who is appointed so that if they are not right they will not be confirmed. Prayer is the MASTER KEY!!!
Also, we need not idolize this man. Idolatry is the root of all evil. Once we begin to do so and he starts to become full of who he is it is over for his administration. I am not being negative I am being real. Sometimes, when we forget and not remain grounded this is what can happen. I see to many folks idolizing him. We all need to remain HUMBLE AS A NATION. We cannot puff him up.
I know some of you will want to jump me. Go right ahead. Mark these words in your minds. I am for Obama but I am the voice of reason.
I don’t think Hillary is an enemy. I think Obama selected her to send a message to the entire world. A true leader can work with the competition. I think they will be a great team. You see this is what it is about TEAM. This also quiets the staunch Hillary supporters too. If she fouls up and is not a team player she may not become President. Look at the strategy. I hope this team is ready for what is to come. We will see the Great Depression in 2009. Things are about to get worse. Soon people will forget Bush reigned and blame it all on the Democrats.
I just hope this country can survive these hard times. Now is the time to educate yourself if you are not because you will surely need it. It is about money, politics, money, education, politics, politics, money, money

Instead of second guessing and trying to micromanage him we should be cleaning up the mess in our own backyards. And even though she is not my favorite person…Hillary does serve a purpose in this Administration and I’m for whatever (and whoever) it takes to get America back on the RIGHT track!!! Hello Pamela, My comment today have nothing to do with the current topics, although it’s politics and concerns us as a people. People up on the hill need to take note as to what’s going on in the communities and what’s to come in these economical crisis. The father out in LA that took his life, his wife, and 5 kids tuesday. This is yet the second incident of fathers taken thier life and families because of loss of jobs or whatever . These sort of tragedies are sad, and could posibbly be avoided. This story just upseted me a beautiful family gone, we need to reach out to others as a community the leaders,the clergy, all over to help people like ths family. Who lost thier jobs at the hospital and sadly the father resorted to the worst way to deal with it. Our churches and communities as well as government need to put aside the funds to combat this problem that ’s affecting peoples lives of all walks of life. These economical times were jobs are being lost, people should know that god will not put no more on us that we can bare,and to stay strong in faith because it will get better. For those who are doing well check in on your neighbors, the families who are not doing so good and lend a hand or a word of comfort. I think our president is very inspiring and when he said it s only going to get worse, that’s a reality but some hard working people do not want to hear. Nevertheless it’s reality and we have to deal ith it in these tough times. It’s just so sad, that another father thought that this was the only way out .
