April 1,  2009 – President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama began their eight day, five country trip to Europe Tuesday and it looks like the schedule is jammed packed.  obamas-arrive-in-london_ap090331026261

The president’s trip will focus on two important meetings: the G-20, where the world’s economic powers will come together and the NATO summit.  But those two highlights are just part of their VIP schedule while over the pond.

Today will begin with a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Gordon Brown, separate meetings with Russian and Chinese leaders and meetings with several European leaders to discuss the war in Iraq.

The day will end with the president and first lady’s private audience with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. This alone will mark his trip as “historic” and place a page in history books around the world.

The president left the country with some good news from a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Tuesday.  It seems his approval rating is still pretty good:  66 percent of the folks polled said they approve of the way Obama is handling the job of commander-in-chief and 66 percent said they approve of the way he’s handling the economy.

Michelle Obama also faired really well with the American people according to this poll; she received her highest favorable rating yet at 76 percent.

The president is expected to receive a warm and enthusiastic welcome in Europe – in part because of early key policy decisions by his administration.  Since taking office he’s addressed global warming, promised to close Guantanamo Bay, and laid out plans of ending the war in Iraq; all reversals of President Bush’s policies.

Move over Britney Spears, the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London is putting the final touches on the president’s statue in preparation for his visit.  I was impressed. Not only is the resemblance striking, but they even nailed his hair cut.

 President Obama is getting good marks at home and abroad, how do you think he’s doing?

What Pamela neglected to include in this article was the following:
*
The EU President severly rebuked Obama for his reckless stimulus plan
*
The Czech President called Obamas Budget a “Road to Hell”
*
Sarkosky the French President blasted Obamas borrow and spend program as being one that would “severly damage the world economic systems”
*

@RED NECK HUNTER………we will be able to join bush daddy at the barfing table when Obamas Cap and Trade Tax system goes in place in 2011. Thats when a $600 Billion Tax on the air we breath goes in to effect. Yes ,all of us will be barfing when your utilitiy bill goes up 60-200% and all of the stuff we buy goes up by an additional 4-5%.

@rednblack
thanks for being the voice of one cyring in the wilderness in this blog. I check in occasionally but to be honest it is discouraging to see that most people that subscriben here are blind followers and don’t think for themselves. When I would read the stupidity I would start throwing things and it got expensive to have to patch the walls everytime Obama did something stupid and the blind masses swooned.

@Robert
I used to be concerned that people like you were a majority within the AFR-American community… then I realized that since there is obviously only a few of you idiots judging from the fact that this blog has less than a dozen comments, I am going to assume that there is a wee chance that the majrority of our brothers and sisters don’t need a butt kissing blogger telling them slanted opinions to keep them loyal. Perhaps they are smart enough to change their minds about “change” when they realize that they have sold out because someone claimed to be black when it was convenient but had no experience and no honor and those characteristics pierce through COLOR!

The President and his wife are doing the very best that can be done.

Obama is 1/2 black and 1/2 white. It’s the 1/2 white part that got him elected president because nobody would vote for an 100% black man. Black people have smaller brains and lower IQ’s in general according to statistical information. There is not GOD only the sun and the stars and the planets. Religion was created by men because black people needed something to believe in since they are so weak minded in general.
Jiverly Voong is really UMlaw and I shot all those people in upstate NY because I thought they were black criminals. Blacks commit 90% of the violent crime in the US even though you people only make up 13% of the US population. Go figure! You all need to get an education, take responsibiity and stop commiting crimes so you can become model citizens like Asian Americans.
