Right-Wing are All Wrong

April 15, 2009 – As if things aren’t bad enough with the faltering economy, devastating job losses and rapid home foreclosures, a new government report is warning that right-wing extremist groups could be planning to use the hard times and the election of the nation’s first Black president as a recruiting tool.

In a nine page report done by Department of Homeland Security in coordination with the FBI they found,  “No specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence,” but  the current climate “could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.”

The report was published April 7 and compared the current racially charged environment to the 1990’s, “when right-wing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession.”

The federal report titled,  “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” was given to federal, state and local law enforcement folks to give them a heads ups.

But the economy isn’t the only issue troubling this population.  The election of the first African-American president is also a factor and has become one of their key recruiting tools.

“Many right-wing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearm ownership and use,” the report said.

Those faced with the daily responsibilities to protect President Obama may have become aware of the challanges during the 2008 presidential campaign. According to this report the 2008 campaign election there were threats from a variety of what they identified as “small cells” that were handled by law enforcement.

Now we have to hope the next wave of threats will be “handled” without incident.

Why do you think bad times increase this “hater” type of behavior in the country?

@seschris and Jakori: you assume the best and brightest are in government? Have you realized most of our Economic problems started with the FED and the US Govt..
*
The only way to correct these Economic troubles is too let the air out of the bubbles that are consistently being created. Right Now the Government is creating the “Biggest Bubble” in the History of this nation. No politician is willing to pay the price to do the right thing because it is about power and getting re-elected.
*
The current administrations plan is like forcing a two pack a day smoker to smoke four packs a day. He may not have cancer today but he sure will very soon.

rednblack Said on

@Jakori…..Obama just increased the National debt by 24% in his first 80 days in office. He also is proposing an additional 680 Billion in programs that will put him at 31%. Looks like he is the new leader at racking up debt.

rednblack Said on

@seschris; are you saying the only way to have credibility on an issue is if you are presenting your ideas in front of congress? Using your standard; people like Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King would have zero credibility because they never appeared before Congress

TELL IT TO THE NEXT PERSON YOUR CUTTING OPEN IN THE HOSPITAL!! THEY WILL BE SLEEP AND WILL LISTEN TO EVERY WORD WITH GLEE.

RednBlack, I see you’re not that good at ,math. Pres Obama hasn’t increased the debt by 24%, What is 10% of 10 trillion = 1 trillion and barak hasn’t put a trillion dollars on the table at this point. But I think you and SECHRIS missed my point. My point wasn’t on who spent the most, because Obama wouldn’t be a part of that argument. My point was, THEY ALL SPEND!!!! Every Pres has increase our debt. My point is my kids and every other child in America was in debt long before Obama’s plan. So my question still stands! Why be angry now over something that’s been going on for ages 24 TO 32 yrs?

Tuesday ratings…
FoxNews: 4 million viewers
MSNBC: 1 million viewers
CNN: 1 million viewers
Headline News: less than1 million viewers

Do you get it? FoxNews is kicking A$$! Even if you combine MSNBC/CNN/HEADLINE NEWS, Fox still wins by a 1million viewers. Rating Kings.

Point being, people want fairness and balance.

rednblack Said on

@Jakori; glad to see your interest. Here is how the debt numbers for this year are derived. Projected deficit this year of 1.4 Trillion + 1 Trillion in additional TARP money = 2.4 Trillion = 2.4/10.0 = 24%
*
Who says I have only recently been dismayed with our borrow and spend economics? Please dont make assumptions and interject them as fact.
*
Did you realize that for the first time in the History of this nation, our Treasury printed 1 Trillion dollars to “cover” our debt. In essence that makes everything you earn worth a whole lot less!
*
There is a reason the largest holders of our nations debt are VERY nervous. This includes China, Great Britian, and Japan.

It makes me so sad to see blacks (Alex and rednblack for example) following the “others” lead and persecuting our president in the beginning of his first year in office. Don’t assume that every other black that supports Obama are “mindless sheep” just because we don’t agree with your assessment of how our president is doing. Isn’t there a learning curve on everyone’s job? I understand the seriousness of the times but what do you expect from him? He inherited this mess and is doing what he thinks is best for the country. Did you protest this vehemently when Bush was in office creating this mess with the help of congress for 8 years? Where was your outrage then? This administration is about more than race although race is a factor in this presidency because it’s a first for us blacks. Why must you put a damper on that by lumping everybody who supports Obama as less intelligent than you? That is simply not true. And please if you cannot respond with respect then please ignore my comment. Intelligent adults should be able to disagree and still remain cordial. Leave that to the others.
Respectfully,

Mrs. Dandridge

Too ALL who believe Obama is following the right plan; PLEASE READ:
*
What got us into this mess was the FED(Federal Reserve) creating a loose money supply and holding interest rates artificially too low for an extended period of time. This created an artificial bubble in the Housing market as Home values soared well beyond their true value. The phony US economy became primararly consumer driven(70%) due to its borrow and spend practices. Look around your house at all the stuff you have bought! We have blown through all of our savings and have accumulted vast amounts of debt. BIG PROBLEM!!!
*
Present day 2009: The American Consumer has wised up. We have begun to tighten our belts up and started to save again. EXCELLENT!
*
QUE in Obamas Adminstration: He has said “The only way out of this is via the Government to spend”. He has in fact only repeating the same problem. Our problem is borrow/spend create debt. The only difference is that now the Government is doing the spending and debt creation for us. This is exactly what we dont need. The final bubble is the Government Debt load which cannot be sustained.
*
We are only delaying the inevitable; It will come and it is going to be beyond bad!

seschris Said on

rednblack,

I don’t doubt your credibility and earnestness but I wonder why it isn’t being put to better use considering all of your concerns.

rednblack Said on

@seschris; thanks for your kind reply.
*
There are people who can much better articulate my viewpoints or who have the “position” or “cache’ to do it better than me.
*
For example, there are numerous Economists who predicted what is happening today going back several years ago. There are a few out there but their message is not “popular” with our government or the media. They want us to keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

Bigslim Said on

Woooow…this stuff is hilaaaarious!! Can’t believe all shock that’s being displayed by each other. These issues have been stirred up for countless years but finally they are being brought to the forefront and our TRUE COLORS are beggining to show. Yes there will be disagreements with our President but keep in mind there will always be disagreements with a President. Pleasing everyone is NOT POSSIBLE. But don’t take it out on the next man because of Obama. Have some peace in your heart and this too shall pass….Bless Up..that’s the real King!!

@Mrs Dandridge
I agree with your premise that the majority of Republicans were nowhere to be found when Bush was up to his shenanigans:
*
Bush’s Federal takeover of the Education system with his “No child left behind” was BS
*
Bush’s Prescription Drug Policies damaged that industry and took the free market out of any real ability to self correct
*
Bush’s escalation of the Iraq war financed through a credit card was very questionable
*
Bush’s reckless and out of control spending and unwillingness to stand up to his own party may never be corrected
*
Conversly the Democrats have yet to face up to the fact that Obama is repeating and exacerbating the same problems Bush created. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!

Alex Said on

There isn’t a learning curve. He has but all the right people I the right position by his account. So no.

I expect Obama not to exaggerate his policies -95% of taxpayer will receive…umm… 15 extra bucks a week. Unacceptable! That does nothing for me.

He doesn’t understand what has made America great. If he thinks redistributing the wealth of “rich” folks to “poor” folks is best for the country, then he needs to become Prime Minister of somewhere.

Honestly, when I read these comments it makes me feel more intelligent. And I say that with all due respect.

I’m not a big Bush fan. So yes I disagreed with him- except on the war and national security.

Jason M Said on

all i have to say is that all of you yelling about what alex is saying and those who agree with him is that you are all acting like little freaking kids everyone has different beliefs so if that is the way some one feels about something let them you dont have to go all crazy cause of some words the main deal with this stuff going on is that the majority of people voted for obama you did cause hes not white thats why most of people voted for their first time but if it was just white males again most of the people that voted probably wouldn’t of just like before so just acting like freaking kids in high school cause racism has been building up the last some odd years any how its not just cause of some black president so shut up

Naila Said on

@ rednblack

Don’t forget about the bank loans and foreclosures. Those really put us under because houses were being foreclosed, loans weren’t being paid, so banks couldn’t pay back with interest. That caused people to take their money out of the banks and…well it was all downhill from there, basically.
