June 23, 2009 – President Barack Obama has scheduled his first Rose Garden news conference for Tuesday marking his fourth face-to-face with the Washington press in his nearly six months in office.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told us at Monday’s briefing the president would open with remarks on health care, energy legislation and Iran’s disputed election.

This news conference will be unlike the first three held in the East Room of the White House.  This would be the first time reporters will be given the opportunity for extended questioning of the president on a wide range of issues.

The president will most likely use this press conference to sure-up his popularity which in recent weeks has started to falter according to recent polls.  His numbers in a survey released Monday by Rasmussen are trending lower, of those surveyed 54 percent of voters say he doing a good job, a slip from over the last three months where he held an approval rating in the mid-60.

 But that’s just one poll, others give the president a sizable approval rating, the lower numbers e appear to be with some Independents who are questioning the Administration’s deficit spending.

 Peter Hart, conducted a Wall St Journal/NBC survey this month, the pollster said the president quiet popular, “but there are a lot more thorns in [it]”.  Meaning folks are watching him more closely.  Even an  CBS /New York Times poll found that 52 percent vs. 41 percent of  voters surveyed want him to reduce the ballooning trillion-dollar annual federal deficits  rather than spending to stimulate the economy.

Baracks charisma coupled with an adoring media are the only things keeping his popularity above 50%. His rapidly falling poll numbers are a result of his disastrous policies as noted by Pamela.

People are beginning to see past the cheerleaders known as the media and see how his Foriegn Policy blunders and the crushing debt he wants to put on the backs of us and our future generations will deliver us into a new form of slavery.

I have never seen so many people who always yell “Country First” sit and wait to see our President fail. Do they have jobs? What the hell is wrong with the people in this Country. I guess the country is only supposed to succeed if they get who they want in office. I didn’t like Bush at all, but I certainly didn’t sit around and wait for my country to come to its knees because I didn’t like him. These people who are constantly trying to undermind the president with all the crazy and unintelligent flack about what he needs to say concerning the events in Iran. These same people treat Iranian Americans like they are all terroists. I wish they would just shut up because they are the same people who got us into the problems in the Middle East. Just shut up and try to help the country. Stop hoping that our country fails or go to Fox and air your feelings there. We all are aware that because we have a Black President, these haters are always ready to start their “Psycho Talk”. Go away!

I believe it was Bush who bailed out wall street and failing banks and it was Obama who is trying to save the domestic auto industry.If Obama took a Herbert Hoover aproach things would be far worse.Now exactly what foriegn policy blunders are you mentioning,do you mean The President trying to fix all that Bush damaged ?

@RED NECK HUNTER and jifffn
Bush abandoned Free Market Principals the day he took office. He pretended to adhere Free Markets while he gave us BIG Government policies including the bailouts. His pursuit of BIG government policies along with increasing deficits lead to this economic down turn.

The BAD NEWS is that Obama is following the same principals as Bush, but only worse! Obamas policies are destined to fail! In fact, his policies have been tried a myriad amount of times around the world with a 100% failure rate.

During the presidential campaign, Joe Biden said Obama would be challenged within six months of his coronat…, er, inauguration – and he’s been proven correct.

First North Korea, and now Iran. Two “major league” at-bats for our “post-partisan” president – and he’s stood at the plate and watched six down-the-middle pitches slip by him without a swing of the bat.

Voting “present” doesnt work anymore
