First Lady Promotes Healthy Living

Oct. 21, 2009 – First Lady Michelle Obama is stepping out this week to promote healthy living habits and highlight October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 
The First Lady has held events touting the importance of good nutrition and exercise before and today she’ll host a Healthy Kids Fair on the South Lawn alongside Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to bring the message to the American people. One of the early events at the White House with Mrs. Obama was the announcement and tilling of the soil for her vegetable garden on the South Lawn alongside local elementary school students.
The office of the first lady said Wednesday’s events will also involve local public school student and their families who’ll be on hand to hear from the chefs and nutritionist called in from around the country to demonstrate healthy cooking and tips on preparing affordable meals.
On Friday, the first lady will host another event to draw attention Breast Cancer Awareness month along with how importance health care is for women with pre-existing condition. The first lady has been supportive of her husbands plans for reforming health care and one of the policy he’s been firm about is stopping insurance companies from using a persons past illness to drive up thier insurance cost.
As I perused the article on Teri Woods (google it) I could the Feel Teri in her anguish and the moment her friends and fam felt thrown back into the 60s’ by the ignorance of a shallow person trying 2 be someone other than Real. Being deeply involved in the campaign for our current President before he Became to everyone. I was stunned by the people of Kentucky most but other places we visited to register voters I had those moments of disbelief or the Reality that people are narrow-minded individuals for no reason other than ignorance. As a Writer I feel U and I want to say BRAVO to you for taking a STAND and not allowing this to be just another moment for the shallow people that need OUR business to sustain(to brush under the rug) Bravo to Bestselling author Teri Woods for forcing the iodiots to the light and putting them front & center because if they are not forced to they never will recognize their ignorance..I’am certain the owner of Greenhouse knows how ignorant that was but he laughed about and now he is being nonchalant because thats’ what Teri has forced him to be. In retrospect, Barry(Dumbo)Mullineaux he is saying to himself why did I even book her pretty-intelligent ass. Now he has to fix it..We have to demand respect from those that don’t give it freely..Bravo TW…A in Chicago
