B.E.T. female athlete award winner… I am not a fan of the WNBA, but respect her skills!

THE WNBA DOESNT GET THE RESPECT IT DESERVES! TO BE HONEST IF NBA PLAYERS PLAYED WITH AS MUCH PASSION FOR THE GAME AS WNBA PLAYERS MORE PEOPLE WOULD WATCH REGULAR SEASON GAMES AND NOT JUST THE PLAYOFFS…… AS FOR A NEW DUNK…. HOW MANY 6′4 PLAYERS IN THE NBA ACTUALLY DO MORE THAN THE STANDARD 1 HAND DUNK…. THIS IS A FEMALE ATHLETE AND NOT TO SET DIFFERENCES BUT HOW MANY TIMES DID DERRICK FISHER DUNK LAST SEASON…… 2 WORDS FOR YOU (HI HATER)…….. WNBA’S CP3 KEEP BEASTING THE COURT*

To be honest, it’s just not a good game to watch. We are used to seeing this game played above the rim and the WNBA is just not that interesting to watch. The NBA contnues to throw it’s support behind it but the numbers say it all. They would be better served by playing in Europe where the game is more appreciated. The only time the WNBA gets any pub is when a player “dunks”. I’ve tried to sit down and watch a game and it bored me to tears. I don’t enjoy watching a bunch of girls act and look like boys, shooting three’s and layups for four quarters.

i agree its not as exciting but they more coachiable and the game is more like a basketball game and not as much free styling because the girls are more basic and if the guys watched a little more there more patiences and help create more open shots for each other and it helps there game!

I like to watch womens b-ball sometimes and I’ve actually played and I think these women love this sport just as much as men do!If they want to look like guys but then marry one, I say so be it! They are out there for the love of the sport and thats the only thing I need to watch the game, DUNKING or not.

I love basketball… I love Candace Parker… Come on all you haters be real, every sport must be given time to develop. The WNBA is doing its thing. Why do people insist on comparing these two leagues who were founded 50 years apart. NBA-1946 WNBA-1996. Give them time. The first female slam dunk in the NCAA was in 1984 a mere 38 years after the NBA was founded. Lisa Leslie had the first dunk in the WNBA in 2002, only 56 years after the NBA was founded. We should just applaud the accomplishment for its historic mark, Candace is only the second woman to accompplish this feat. Nevermind of the two women to dunk she has recorded the second and third slam dunks in WNBA history. Give them time. P.s. If you want them to stop acting like men, stop comparing them to men. Just food for thought.

You know what you a hater, it’s a big deal. People want to hate on sistas playing ball, first people complain that we can’t dunk. Than a couple ladies can do that, now you want to complain about how they dunk. Shut up! Give props where it is deserved and quit hatin.

b-eeezzie what are you talking about I’m not getting on your case but I’m just saying a lot of 6’4 and smaller NBA players can do a lot more than a basic one hand throw down. I’m 6’1 and I can do about every dunk in the book, not to for get Nate Robinson only like 5”9 doing it all, I love Parker but just because she’s a girl doesn’t make it special she should of never won the McDonalds Slam Dunk Contest but I’ve only seen a handful of women do the things she do I wish her great success but yeah its time to increase her hops and come up with something to shut her critics up

I give her props for being able to dunk. I remember seeing Marion Jones dunk a volleyball in highschool. (yes I’m that old)

But one major reason the WNBA doesn’t get respect is because the women are held to the same physical stardards that men in the NBA are held to. It has very little to do with being able to dunk. But lets just look at their bodies. Most of the players still look very fem. Most are still soft and cuddly.

But if you look at the dudes in the NBA… excluding Pau Gasol, they’re built like gladiators.

Just my opinion.
