Stallworth Pedestrian Killed Football

It still pays to be rich and famous in the courtroom.

(Unless you’re a dog killer, of course)

Wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth is expected to accept a plea agreement for his March 14th crash when he hit and killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes while intoxicated in Miami.

Stallworth was facing up to 15 years behind bars but the plea deal calls for a shorter sentence.

If me or you got behind the wheel drunk and killed a man, we would be serving the entire 15 years.

But a pro athlete does it and he could be back on the field by next season … probably before Mike Vick.

If Stallworth does less time than Vick (23 months) in jail, we have a serious problem on our hand with the legal system.

Editor’s Note: Stallworth was sentenced to only 30 days in jail on Tuesday. 30 freakin days.
