Erroneous Report Leads to Bad Reporting
Published by Marcus Vanderberg on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 12:22 pm.
In the age of the 24/7 news cycle, misinformation often leads to corrections and retractions.
When news broke last night that Barry Bonds failed a drug test in November 2001, I, along with the rest of the media, rushed to post a story about the news.
So I’m sure a lot of us felt nauseous when a story came out late last night that a typo in court papers resulted in an erroneous report.
By then, several media outlets had already reported on the story, including this blog.
The drug test information that was released was already unsealed last year.
We appolgize for the confusion.

Peace
It is becoming more and more obvious, especially with “admitted mistakes” like this coming out, that the U.S. Govt. is doing all that it can in its attempt to smear the legacy of Barry Bonds in the eyes of his fans. IT AIN’T WORKING! They need to cut the crap now!
Peace

This type of mess is exatcly why the govt and whoever else wants to put in there 2 cents on Barry Bonds being on steroids needs to get a life. It never cease to amaze me that , the steroid stories about Barry Bonds never popped up as much until he got close / passed the record. Can the brother get his proper due.
Let Barry be
Ok so what ? I mean why didnt Baseball call him out in 2000? Why is this coming up when Roger Clemmons and these other guys are accused. I might be wrong but I thought Barry said he unknowingly took them. So lying or not lying why does this matter he states he took the Clear and the cream. The question is did he know if it was A PED OR HGH……..So until that is proven ,Barry has done nothing wrong in my eyes……
All I can say is, Tiger Woods and Oprah Winfrey…watch your backs. Keep every aspect of your personal and financial life in order. There’s still a large number of “racially challenged” conservative AND liberal nitwits in this country who feel very threatened by successful blacks, (or “others”, as Mr. Woods would say.)
The conservatives don’t want blacks to be successful PERIOD, and the liberals want blacks to stay at a certain level under the facade that; “blacks can do nothing without our help.”
Just imagine the glee these clowns would outwardly show with Tiger Woods being arrested for domestic violence, or indicted on tax evasion. As an aside; Mr. Woods, PLEASE don’t have sex outside of your marriage! You know what’s coming next…a @~~$ charge, especially if a white slut is involved. Remember Kobi, Mr. Woods. Please remember Kobi!
Even if the tax problem was a mistake, oh my! How the media would eat it up. Why they’d be dancing in the streets!
I already am black, but if I had any real money and fame, I would definately live in another country. Which one, I don’t know; some are better, some worse. However, THIS one was supposed to be the land of the free, where all men were created equal, the melting pot, where justice is blind and all that other clap-trap.
Blacks in this country have always had the odds stacked against them in rising to any type of success, and those who have risen above the “crab pinchers” are one slip away from public disgrace and legal traps.
Michael Jackson, take the time and find another country abroad. Your first try didn’t work out but you know they want your behind here!
Oh, and I can’t forget Barack Obama. You’re treading in dangerous waters, Obama. I support you one-hundred percent, but be careful. This country is not what you think it is.
Now for the main point and the subject of the article: The ignorant fools behind all of the racially motivated attacks have not bothered Mark McGuire so they need not bother Barry Bonds. I suppose that we are to remember McGuire as an angel, in spite of what all but the most stupid would deny that he did, which is take steroids, but Mr.Bonds is a demon for POSSIBLY doing the same.
That’s only 1/2 of the error BET.Bud Selig Said that MLB didn’t have a steroid test in 2000.The FEDS stole EVIDENCE OUT OF THE BALCO RAID IN 2003,according to Victor Conteh, then marked it as test evidence from 2000,not realizing that MLB had no steroid test available in 2000.You goofed again.Get it right.Barry Bonds will walk. Now,PRINT THAT !!!
